Nurarihyon no Mago: Sennen Makyou

W00t. About freakin’ time. This season started off just right, with some good action. I love how they finally explain the past of certain characters, because I had questions when I watched the first season.

The characters are still bad-ass, but I think they made Nura Rikuo’s Youkai side a bit weaker, i’m not sure. In the first season he was this powerful character, but now it seems like he needs back-up a lot more often than he used to.

Anyways, the artwork is still as good as ever and the storyline seems to be getting even better. I most definitely recommend this anime to everybody.

Plot Summary: At first glance, Nura Rikuo seems like nothing more than a normal middle-schooler. In actual fact, he is grandson of Nurarihyon, master of a youkai clan.

Having only recently resolved the hostilities between the Nura Clan and the Shikoku Yokai, Rikuo finds no rest as an ancient enemy of the Nura Clan, Haguromo-Gitsune, resurfaces. After 400 years of inactivity, Haguromo-Gitsune suddenly sweeps through Kyoto with overwhelming power.

Ro-Kyu-Bu!

And yet again another anime where all the characters are Loli’s. Seriously, the Japanese have some issues to work out, lol.

But anway, this time it’s about Loli’s and their love for Basketball. So yeah, it’s a show about sports. Now, I do happen to like animes that center around sports, but this is something else. It doens’t look sportive at all.

Hell, even the aunt of the one of the main characters (Hasegawa Subaru) looks like a Loli, and yet you see her driving a car from time to time.

But all that aside,  it’s drawn pretty good and the storyline isn’t too bad. but it’s definitely not the type of anime you’d want to see 24+ episodes of, because at one point it gets boring.

Plot Summary: Hasegawa Subaru enters a basketball club of Nanashiba High School, but the activity of the club gets suspended because the club leader falls in love with an 11 year old daughter of the coaching teacher. Subaru’s aunt asks him to coach a basketball club of elementary school girls. At first, he is reluctant to teach small girls, but he devotes himself to the club as he knows the complex circumstances of them

R-15

Here we go again.. Yet another Ecchi anime. Personally, I like these types of anime because I find them very amusing. But it’s a pretty good concept, this R-15.

So we have a young boy who happens to be a Pornographic Novelist in a school where the majority of which also happens to be of the opposite sex. So his mind, from time to time, wanders off into a world filled with erotic adventures. Guaranteed to be amusing at some level.

The artwork is pretty good and the storyline is so-so.

Plot Summary:  Akutagawa Takuto is a teenage porn novel writer. He enters Hirameki Gakuen, which accepts only geniuses with outstanding talent. He leads his classmates with his porn skills to win the interclass competition.

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée

Ok, truth be told, I thought this anime would bite the big one when I first read about it. But it turned out pretty good afterall. It looks absolutely great and the storyline is pretty good too.

I do have to say.. Lately there have been a lot of anime’s where the (main) characters are Loli’s. Now, I don’t really ‘mind’ it, but I do dislike those ‘Magical-girl’ types of Loli’s.

But nevertheless, the anime is pretty good. They drew Yuna perfectly.

Plot Summary:  The story takes place in the second half of the 19th century, as Japanese culture gains popularity in the West. A young Japanese girl, Yune, accompanies a French traveller, Oscar, on his journey back to France, and offers to help at the family’s ironwork shop in Paris. Oscar’s nephew and shop-owner Claude reluctantly accepts to take care of Yune, and we learn how those two, who have so little in common, get to understand each other and live together in the Paris of the 1800s.

Blade

Oh my, really? A Blade anime? I was really sceptical about this one.. And it appears I had every reason to.

I’ve watched all 3 Blade movies plus that Blade show, that aired a few years back. And watching this now, after having seen all that, is really weird. Don’t get me wrong, the artwork is pretty nice, but it just doesn’t do ‘it’ for me. Just like with that Ironman anime, it just didn’t work out for me.

Plot Summary: The story revolves around Blade, a “Daywalker” vampire hunter who was born with vampire and human blood after a vampire attacked his mother. While visiting Japan on a mission, Blade tracks down Deacon Frost, the vampire who killed his mother. Blade confronts “Existence,” a mysterious organization composed of vampires modified by Frost.
