Okay, I’ve chosen this one to replace the Hunter x Hunter remake. I just don’t see the value in writing about it, it doesn’t contribute anything new. When I saw the first episode I was pretty pissed, I saw characters and scenes from other anime, I was under the impression that they stole material. I’m very happy to see that I was wrong, it turned out to be a pretty amusing show.
The episode started out with Yamato wanting to glance over his porn collection. It broke his heart when he found out that Miyako tampered with his dirty magazines. That perverted girl glued pictures of her head over all the models’ heads. Kill her with fire! A man’s stash is holy, you just don’t meddle with it! You have to wonder how badly she must want ‘it’ if she’s willing to go through all of that just to get his attention.
His day didn’t get better though, he had to deal with that annoying Kokoro, a girl whose ego is bigger than the world itself. She wanted to duel him, kill him and tackle him whilst falling in love with him during that process. He only accepted a duel with her because she was the reason why his food, the food he got from his friends, fell on the ground. After he got his butt kicked by that girl, which, as a man, was pretty difficult to watch, he got carried home by Momoyo. He may have lost his porn collection, lost most of his lunch and lost to a girl, but he did have that “special” moment on Momoyo’s back, which would’ve been enjoyed to its fullest if he were actually conscious.Read More
Awesome! Absolutely awesome! I was waiting for this episode all week and I just watched it with great joy. I was getting nervous about the story, we’re already at episode eighteen and Rikuo is still training. I just don’t want them to rush things at the end, I want to see a great ending befitting this great anime.
First I would like to start this off by pointing out how glad I am to see that the Onmyouji and Youkai are capable of interacting with one another quite harmoniously. The conditions of their (temporary) truce may be because of this impending war, but it doesn’t change the fact that both sides complement one another. I think it’ll be more than a temporary truce though, especially now that the Keikain has passed away, leaving all eyes pointing in Yura’s direction. Yura and Rikuo are friends, if we have Yura as the head of the Keikain Onmouji and Rikuo as the head of the Nurarihyon Youkai, then a long term truce is a definite possibility.
I’m also very happy to see that the Youkai of Rikuo’s night parade of one hundred Youkai are still fighting the enemy, even though Rikuo is not present to lead the way. Goes to show just how loyal those guys are, which is a very rare and highly valuable quality.
I was also very happy to learn more about the enemy. It seems that Minagoroshi Jizou uses his power to control the minds of Youkai that are currently doing Hagoromo-Gitsune’s bidding. They roughly estimated that he has control over most of Hagoromo-Gitsune’s followers, except for Hagoromo-Gitsune herself, she’s apparently too strong to be controlled by him. He’s a devious Youkai, he’s probably plotting something that will benefit him greatly. My guess is that he’s waiting for Hagoromo-Gitsune to give birth, upon which he kills her afterwards and takes control of her offspring to rule the world. I know, I have a sick and obvious imagination.
I was happiest when my question about Rikuo’s father had finally been answered. I was wondering why Rikuo’s father, who was half Youkai and half human, was stronger than his father, who, apparently, is a Youkai for most part. Apparently it’s because of his human side, human beings are very adaptable, but most Youkai are not. Rikuo’s father was so strong because he always managed to adapt, because he trusted his allies and because he acknowledged his human and Youkai sides. Rikuo realized that when he tried to fight off those enemy Youkai at the end together with Zen. He trusted Zen completely when suddenly the power of his fear increased. I’m guessing that he will complete his special training during the next episode, I can’t wait!Read More
Boy am I glad to see that this anime is going in the right direction. I thought it was going to be predictable, because according to Fate/Stay Night it was Gilgamesh who won the last war for the Holy Grail, which would spoil the ending for Fate/Zero. But it’s getting really interesting even though that piece of information is known to us.
The episode simply continues where the last one ended. That Rider seriously has one big ego; he interrupts the fight between Saber and Lancer, introduces himself using his real identity and he, if that’s not enough, invites both of them to join him in his quest for world domination. All of this occurs whilst his master is covering in that chariot like a six year old would under his/her parents’ bed. Now Gilgamesh joins the party in order to kill Rider. He might’ve succeeded too, would it not be for Berserker’s sudden appearance.
I would like to point out one obvious thing; Berserker looks AWESOME! Seriously, Fate/Stay Night’s Berserker couldn’t ever hold a candle to Fate/Zero’s Berserker. He is pretty strong too, he managed to get Gilgamesh serious for a while, too bad that Tokiomi, apparently Gilgamesh’s master, used one of his command seals to make him stop and leave.
Things only got worse from there on in. Berserker made Saber his new target. This would’ve been okay, would it not be for the fact that Lancer’s master used a command seal to make him attack Saber as well. It’s a good thing that Rider is an old fashioned guy that cares a great deal for a warrior’s pride. He ran Berserker over using that big chariot of his, causing Berserker to retreat. Rider and Kanye West might both be the same size when it comes to egos, but at least Berserker has style and pride.
There’s one thing I don’t understand; what’s happening with Caster? Does his master understand what it means to be a participant in this war? Those two have been keepings things off the radar and have yet to show any interest in this war. Both of them are murdering psychopaths, one would think that they would all over the place, looking to kill participants. I really hope that those two are the first ones to go, I really do hope that.Read More
Ugh… I thought I already made this clear. I’ve been getting several E-mails, again, where people ask me as to why I’m not writing about other anime that has been airing since this fall.
I cannot make the answer any simpler. I just don’t have the time. I merely pick the anime that I like most and I write about them whenever I have the time to do so. Please keep in mind that this is just a hobby of mine, nothing more.
I hope that I finally made that clear. Thank you to those who took time out of their lives to mail me and to those who read my posts.Read More
Dear readers forgive me, for I have sinned. I couldn’t wait patiently for this week’s episode of Maken-Ki! I lost to my impatient side and read the manga to date. I’m sorry! I couldn’t help it, I had to know more about Takeru’s Maken. The manga is pretty far ahead and very detailed, no way could they cover the entire manga to date in just twelve episodes. I just hope they will animate the good parts!
This week’s episode was hilarious, interesting and had some pretty nice action scenes. Takeru ended up going out on some sort of a date with Kodama due to circumstances beyond his control, it wasn’t your traditional date though, or maybe it was for some. Takeru was basically the mule during Kodama’s shopping frenzy.
It’s getting late so the two decided to go visit a maid café to get something to eat, where they “happened” to come across Azuki wearing a cute maid outfit. Kodama knew she worked there, yet she still decided to go there with Takeru. Azuki didn’t like it and practically threatened Takeru to keep quiet about her part-time job. Too bad that Haruko, Inaho and that jealous pervert was following both of them during their date, those three now know about Azuki’s job as well.
The day finally comes to a climax when Kodama suddenly realizes that she had lost sight of her true objective; investigating the mark on Takeru’s chest. She suddenly makes a move for it, when suddenly a bunch of geeks from her fan club interrupt their little moment. She soon sends those three idiots flying when another guy, a dangerous guy, suddenly pops up and attacks Kodama. Takeru wouldn’t stand for it; he came between them, went berserk and ended up beating the crap out of that guy. Kodama, as well as those three stalkers, were surprised by Takeru’s sudden display of strength. Kodama was happy that Takeru protected her and rewarded him by giving him a kiss on the lips. Those three idiots were shocked, mad and completely jealous of what just happened between them.
Man, I really laughed a lot during this episode. I seriously can’t wait for next week. It has also caught my attention that other subgroups are now paying attention to Maken-Ki! I like that. I just hope that one of the bigger ones decide to take interest in this anime, it’s getting hard to wait two extra days for a subbed version.Read More
