Oh, oh my god. I swear, here and now, that I would break up with my girlfriend in a heartbeat if I could watch the remaining episodes of Shingeki no Kyojin in a row right now. Sweet mother of all that is great, thank you for this! I will sleep great tonight!
The episode started out very casual; nothing was going on, really. Everybody was still being tortured by that hellish instructor in the form of severe training. You could clearly see that Armin was struggling more than others. He’s not the type of guy that you’d want backing you up on the battlefield. He’s the type of guy that comes up with strategies that will allow you to win with a little casualties as possible.
It’s also kind of heart-warming that Eren is drawing people to him. He’s very average when it comes to fighting, has no real talents and is purely fuelled by his hatred towards the titans, yet he continues to draw people close to him. Those are signs for a good leader! I’m getting hopeful again!
Also, I’m very pleased to say that I may have been wrong about Mikasa. It looked as though she was happy that Eren was failing at first. However, she continues to follow him, thinking that her life is his no matter what choices he makes. I’m not sure if that’s a good friend or an issue that needs to be addressed in the near future.
But hey, let’s put all that aside for a minute. Let us focus on the fact that he titans, after only a few years, have once again showed up before Eren and his friends. I thought that we’d have to wait at least three or four more episodes before we’d get to see hard-core action… It looks like its starting, guys… This is going to be absolutely epic!Read More
I truthfully have no idea what to say here. This episode gives me nothing but headaches. It’s simply nothing like I had expected. I’m not going as far as to call it a disappointment, seeing as my eyes were practically glued to my screen, but it could’ve been a bit better.
I knew from the moment that Mikoto gave those guys permission to access her “DNA Map” that they would use that to their advantage, in this case by cloning Mikoto. They want to build an army of Level 5 espers, hoping that it could give them tremendous power. Too bad that those clones aren’t even half as strong as Mikoto.
I knew that it would turn out this way, I just knew it. It doesn’t matter what kind of story it is, what kind of setting we have or whatever has happened in the past, but organisations like these will always look for more and more power. That’s just the way it goes with these things. It’s why stories like these become predictable over time.
I would like to have seen a battle between Mikoto and one or more of her clones. That girl needs to open up her eyes and see what’s really happening around her. You cannot trust people you don’t actually know, especially if they claim to be your friend and that they want to help you and others. It’s like a little girl getting in the car of an old man because he offered to buy her ice-cream. She’ll get something creamy alright, but it won’t be cold and delicious. Never give people power over you, that’s the number one rule when it comes to organisations.Read More
Oh shoot, why wasn’t there any “nerdgasm” alert before I started watching this episode? It really caught me by surprise. Borderline incest? Who cares!? Just give me more of this, please. I can only hope that the next episode will be half as good as this one.
So here I was, bowl of microwave popcorn in one hand, can of mountain dew in the other, thinking that I’m going to see another “normal” episode, when suddenly Kirino, at the very beginning of the episode, asks her parents if her friend from America could come over and stay for a couple of days. I almost dropped my can when I nearly choked to death on my popcorn. I saw it. I saw the infinite number of possible options where Kyousuke, whom has a bad reputation to begin with, would pushed into the deepest corners of hell. I simply saw it. That’s when I started smiling until the episode had ended.
So yeah, there she was, a cute loli from America by the name of Ria. She was absolutely adorable. She didn’t really think too much about things, which explains why she ran around the house naked, clinging to Kyousuke for dear life. You can see why Kirino raised hell every single time. Poor girl still hasn’t realized that she has certain feelings for Kyousuke.
Either way, Ria only showed up because she wanted to beat Kirino in a race again. She may have won the race, but she lost at everything else. Kyousuke rooted for his little sister and not for Ria. That’s when every must’ve finally realized that Kirino definitely cares about what her brother thinks and says of her. It was something small this time, sure, but it might not always stay that way. That’s why I’m thankful for this episode. I honestly cannot wait for the next one (I’m kind of hoping that Ria will appear again). I’m not even going to start about the ending, where Kirino actually asked Kyousuke if he wanted to be her boyfriend. Next episode will be awesome!Read More
Not one of the better episodes so far, but I’m glad we’re finally past all those recap episodes. I mean, why in the hell would they air so many recap episodes after another? To this day I still don’t know why. I guess I’ll never know…
I’m slightly disappointed by the way the story resumed, only slightly. We left off when Mutta and the rest went back to look for Reiji’s cell phone, because he was expecting a call from his NEET brother. That’s when, soon after finding Reiji’s phone, Mutta got knocked out of the ring (so to speak) by a nasty fever. Sure, he got Serika-chan to took care of him, which made him ever so happy, but why now? We had to endure so many recap episodes for this. At least make it more interesting. Don’t put the main character in bed right away, what’s the point?
It’s not all that bad though, we got to meet a new character, probably related to Vincent, that cocky instructor. He, ‘coincidently’, became Mutta’s team engineer. The guy is lazy, annoying and very full of himself. He even had the audacity to fart in front of people whom he had just met, which goes to prove that he’s definitely not Japanese.
I don’t know what to think of that. He seems like he might have some serious skills, but his rotten personality gets in the way of progress. Yet another difficult trial that Mutta will have to conquer, I see… Oh well, I’m pretty sure he’s used to it by now.Read More
The “Heartful Tank Carnival” event revealed on Sunday that production on an entirely new Girls und Panzer film has been green-lit, and it will open next year. Tsutomu Mizushima is once again directing the project.
In addition, production on an original video anime (OVA) about the battle against Anzio Girls High School has been green-lit. Finally, a fan disk mostly devoted to footage from Sunday’s event will go on sale in September.
The anime franchise began with a television series that premiered last October. The story centers around high school girls who drive tanks that exist in real life, as they compete in teams. Crunchyroll and Anime Network both streamed the anime outside Japan.
However, the staff had delayed the last two episodes beyond the scheduled run of the television anime last December. Mizushima personally apologized for the delays, and those episodes, #11 and #12, eventually premiered last month. Mizushima said last year that he personally thinks that the end of episode 12 is not the end of the whole story.Read More
