The World God Only Knows 3 episode 12

Okay, it’s over. I can finally form a clear opinion on whether or not this season measured up with the rest. I think this season may have been better than the second one, although slightly, but it’s by no means the best. It’s just not original.

[HorribleSubs] The World God Only Knows - Goddesses Arc - 12 [720p].mkv_snapshot_09.44_[2013.09.25_23.11.56]Irony truly is a b*tch, because the story followed to manga pretty accurately, yet the manga was so much better. That is why I doubt that we’ll get to see another season any time soon. The anime hasn’t been doing all that well since the last season and this season’s ratings look pretty poor, too (I’m not talking about user ratings).

Before I continue I will have said that I do not acknowledge this episode as a decent ending. It’s the only reason why I would like to see a bit more content – closure. Keima still had that thing around his neck, his homeroom teacher didn’t come forward and he didn’t make up with what could be the only girl he actually liked. That’s not how you end things.

[HorribleSubs] The World God Only Knows - Goddesses Arc - 12 [720p].mkv_snapshot_20.19_[2013.09.25_23.13.04]This action-filled episode was amusing. It created more questions than it answered, but that’s just something we’ll have to deal with in our own way. I also think that was overpowering at first. She seemed strong after her boss gave her his blessing, especially with that cool-looking scythe, but watching her fight was absolutely dreadful.

Finally, Keima lost. The goddesses may have been successfully united thanks to him, but he lost the girl, is still forced to help Elucia with her soul-finding quest and he still doesn’t know anything about what’s really going on. There has been very little progress, which is why I cannot accept this as a worthy ending to an otherwise fine series.

High School DxD New episode 12

My, my, my… This episode certainly stirred up a lot of sh*t. Perverts all around the world are going crazy about how this episode ended, saying that there’s definitely going to be a third season without thinking things through.

[Commie] High School DxD New - 12 [AF2EDFC9].mkv_snapshot_05.39_[2013.09.25_23.07.56]First and foremost; nothing is certain. The first season of High School DxD sold sufficiently well for them to invest in a second season. A third season is certainly a possibility when the second season produces positive results. But, and I cannot stress this enough, a third season will not appear because there things left unfinished. It always depends on money.

That being said; this is not really an ending. Sure, Issei, as one could already expect, got excited by Rias’ breasts, got a sudden power boost and managed to defeat Vali, whom turned out to be a descendant of Lucifer himself, but nothing really ended. Issei is still a weak demon that can’t even teleport, Rias’ problems are still very much there and the situation between angels, fallen angels and demons is as unbalanced as ever.

[Commie] High School DxD New - 12 [AF2EDFC9].mkv_snapshot_12.30_[2013.09.25_23.08.20]Now, I’m not continue my rant for much longer, but I will say that I expected a lot more from this season. Even more so when I heard about another household member that Rias supposedly had, but we never met that character. It is one of the many reasons why I cannot accept this as an ending. There is still so much left to be done, so many questions left to be answered, and I want them to make up for that ridiculous power boost scene that allowed for Issei to beat Vali. I absolutely despise sudden power boosts, especially if they’re as ridiculous as that. It’s wasn’t even funny.

Uchouten Kazoku episode 12

Great episode! It’s nice to see that at least one of my theories was somewhat accurate. You know, it almost feels as though we’ve just met a whole new character. But yeah, I’m overall very satisfied by how this played out.

[HorribleSubs] Uchouten Kazoku - 12 [720p].mkv_snapshot_07.29_[2013.09.22_20.31.43]I already had a theory about Yashirou asking for Yajirou’s help. I never would’ve imagined that a simple bottle of scotch would fix that problem (temporarily). It was quite amusing to see Yaijirou haul so much ass in his tram mode, which led me to believe that he might be the strongest one of the Shimogamo brothers.

Yajirou has always caught my attention. I even labelled the guy as their father’s favourite. They always went out drinking, shared secrets and did all sorts of crazy stuff together. One cannot help but think that the old man saw him as his favourite, maybe even as his successor. It’s too bad that his death had such a negative impact on his son’s life.

[HorribleSubs] Uchouten Kazoku - 12 [720p].mkv_snapshot_20.46_[2013.09.22_20.32.32]Anyway, Souun is seeing his plan shatter to the ground. His sons have been captured and his daughter is probably going to testify against him. The Shimogamo family can say whatever they want to the rest of those Tanuki, but it’s their word against his. It’s a difficult situation for everyone, and all they’ve got going for themselves is a messed up story about how Souun almost killed Yaichirou and successfully killed his brother and their father, Souichirou. The professor can’t do anything to help them, Satomi probably won’t do anything to help them, and they themselves probably won’t break the ice. Kaisei-chan has the ability to confirm their story and end the madness once and for all.

Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S episode 23

Now that this season is coming to an end next week, I think that I have sufficient information to form an opinion on whether this season is better than the first or not. It is. This season contains more action, more structure, a slightly better story and less easy-going episodes.

[UTW-Mazui]_Toaru_Kagaku_no_Railgun_S_-_23_[720p][113E5243].mkv_snapshot_08.55_[2013.09.22_16.17.36]The think that I both love and hate about this season is that the story is so damned aggravating. Never really seems to be going right. I think that introduces an element of unpredictability to an otherwise semi-predictable story. I liked how that guy prevented Mikoto and Shinobu from doing whatever they wanted by planning ahead. It’s safe to say that he won’t allow for insubordination and any other threat that might end up destroying their little project. That is why I think that he could very well be capable of killing both of them if he wanted to. He certainly has the brains for it.

[UTW-Mazui]_Toaru_Kagaku_no_Railgun_S_-_23_[720p][113E5243].mkv_snapshot_21.14_[2013.09.22_16.18.06]It’s funny how the smart try to triumph over the strong. It’s a battle that’s been going on in real-life for many, many centuries. It gives me no pleasure in saying that brains usually conquer all else. That’s probably why jocks always pick on nerds in high school. It’s probably because they know that they’ll probably end up working for those nerds one day.

Anyway, without getting distracted any further, I think the final episode should prove to be both predictable and amusing. We finally caught a glimpse of Febri’s sister and we also know that Febri’s lollipops are running out. I can only image that Mikoto is planning some kind of sink-or-swim-operation. We’ll see.

Shingeki no Kyojin episode 24

Oh god, this is horrible. The thought of having to wait up to a year or two for another Shingeki no Kyojin season is sending the wrong kind of shivers down my spine. The fact that they are dragging things out now isn’t helping either.

[gg]_Shingeki_no_Kyojin_-_24_[D44C4951].mkv_snapshot_08.31_[2013.09.22_16.03.29]We know its Annie. Annie is the female titan, she can harden pretty much any part of her titan body into some kind of crystal and she can transform at least two times in a row from what we’ve seen. Also, the fact that she has so much control over it proves that she’s experienced and pretty darn intelligent for her age.

It’s safe to assume that Eren is inferior to her in almost every way. He isn’t nearly that smart, he doesn’t possess the fighting experience of knowledge that she does, he lacks a huge amount of experience, and he’s a very unstable character in general. Transforming requires a clear mind. A mind that’s filled with fear just won’t do.

[gg]_Shingeki_no_Kyojin_-_24_[D44C4951].mkv_snapshot_19.49_[2013.09.22_16.03.56]The thing that annoys me most about this episode is that they are dragging things out. I don’t care about learning the same thing twice. We all realized how Armin came to the conclusion that Annie was the female titan during last week’s episode, but for them to focus on that again during this episode was kind of wasteful.

Eren has a lot of catching up to do. He managed to transform after coming close to death once again, but that just won’t be sufficient. He has a lot of allies standing right behind him and I’m sure Erwin has an ace or two up his sleeve, but for Eren to destroy an arm with just one blow is shocking if you consider that the damage done is absolutely minimal.
