One Week Friends episode 08

My hopes were obviously way too high. I don’t think I’ll make the same mistake with One Week Friends again. I thought that there was going to be an explosion of progress now that the characters have a break from school, but no…

[HorribleSubs] One Week Friends - 08 [720p].mkv_snapshot_05.50_[2014.05.26_23.09.56]I thought for sure that things were going to pick up. The gang decided to go to the beach and we all know what that means. The guys get to see the girls in bikinis and the girls get to see the guys in shorts. Always an exciting moment for young, hormonal boys and girls. That’s where I got lost. I have no idea how things got to the point where the characters were still wearing their clothes and dancing in the rain. What the hell? It’s like you started watching a very promising episode where the middle part was cut out. We had a beginning (the journey there) and an ending (fireworks), that’s about it.

[HorribleSubs] One Week Friends - 08 [720p].mkv_snapshot_20.06_[2014.05.26_23.10.18]It just doesn’t help that Yuuki’s such a coward. Kaori just can’t help it. She doesn’t know a damned thing about love or any of the emotions that lurk around the corner. She just goes with the motion. It’s really all up to Yuuki to take control and man up. Nothing is ever going to happen if that guy just waits for something to happen magically.

I’m hoping that Yuuki might get forced to step up and work at it now that an old acquaintance of Kaori is about to join the big picture. The guy used to be some kind of friend and may (or may not) be (part of) the reason why Kaori has such a hard time making new friends. I’m not getting my hopes up though. I’ll just wait and see what happens.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei episode 08

Holy cow! This episode changes everything once more! Forget about Blooms and Weeds. Forget about the problems that separate the talented from the talentless. That’s just basic human nature (i.e. natural selection).

[HorribleSubs] Mahouka - 08 [720p].mkv_snapshot_05.14_[2014.05.25_23.48.38]The first part was when that counsellor, that busty brunette, turned out to be some kind of official working undercover at their school. She has been keeping a close eye on everything and it’s no wonder that she’s taken in interest in Tatsuya. That guy is one big mystery. He keeps everyone at a distance and doesn’t allow people to get too close. He protects himself and his sister to ensure that nobody finds out about his little secret. That’s when I saw a lot of gaps being filled. I had so many questions before I stared watching this episode, but most of them have been answered. Kudos!

[HorribleSubs] Mahouka - 08 [720p].mkv_snapshot_19.27_[2014.05.25_23.48.59]Some of you might have guessed already. I did not. I absolutely did not know or even suspect that Tatsuya was working for the government. I should’ve known… There’s no way that a government or organisation would turn a blind eye when an overpowered character shows up that they could utilize for their own benefit.

I haven’t been asking myself any real questions. What is Tatsuya after? What is his current position in their little world? What could he possibly gain from working for the government when it’s their system that judges people by skill? My god, this episode really opened up the flood gates. I can’t imagine how next week’s episode will turn out…

Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou episode 08

Writing about this episode is going to be really rough. It was very aggravating and I actually felt sorry for Kazunari. There may not have been a lot of progress between him and Ritsu, but I believe that he has learned a valuable lesson somehow.

[Commie] Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - 08 [337D0660].mkv_snapshot_07.12_[2014.05.24_23.19.16]I said that I felt sorry for Kazunari. I will not take that back because I did. However, I was also a bit pissed off. More than usual. That guy started his job and met a couple of the strangest characters in the entire show. He stood there and took their crap. He said nothing about their strange ways and he let them do as they pleased, even though he has been hired as their boss, right? The second part was when he was being verbally abused by that group of students, one of which was a former classmate of him. He should’ve said something about how annoying and pathetic she used to be, but I guess he’s too nice to do something like that.

[Commie] Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - 08 [337D0660].mkv_snapshot_13.47_[2014.05.24_23.19.30]Yes, this episode was truly aggravating. Still, you can say whatever you want about Kazunari and his friends, but when that guy is in trouble and doesn’t do anything himself, it is quite clear now that he has that bunch to help him out when he’s in a tight spot. Even Ritsu-chan spoke out of character to help out her friend in need. I really liked that scene!

Something tells me that we’re going to see that fake blonde again. I don’t know, but it feels as though we haven’t heard the last of her yet. She’ll probably come crawling back to apologize to him. Either way, I’m glad that Kazunari isn’t giving up and that he has fallen even deeper in love with Ritsu. I expect many great things from now on.

Blade and Soul episode 08

What a strange episode. I thought for sure that we’d have to wait a couple more weeks before we’d get to see this. That’s the problem with game-adapted anime. The stories sometimes get really strange and turn out to be quite messy.

[HorribleSubs] Blade and Soul - 08 [720p].mkv_snapshot_04.31_[2014.05.24_23.18.11]Remember that funny-looking character with the animal airs, paws and tail? Well, he’s back, and I’m not talking about that little runt that keeps selling out Aruka for profit. I’m talking about that strange character that had privilege of training under the same master as Aruka. You’d think that the two of them would make a great team. One would have the ability of the sword, something that continues to write history, and the other has the ability to control energy. That would’ve been an interesting team-up if it weren’t for the fact that Jin killed him. Too bad. I actually started to like that character.

[HorribleSubs] Blade and Soul - 08 [720p].mkv_snapshot_16.58_[2014.05.24_23.18.42]The strange part is that Aruka immediately avenged his death by powering up (I think) and killing Jin with one of her blades. This is very surprising. Isn’t that was this whole thing was about? Aruka has killed the one that killed her master and friends. The code has been honoured and she no longer has any reason to fight those guys.

Sadly, it got even stranger. Jin’s friends watched her die and they did not look sad. In fact, it seemed as things were going according to their plan. I don’t like that. What’s the point? Did Jin even die? Or will she somehow resurrect and become even stronger than before? The story has become so strange that anything’s possible at this point.

Naruto Shippuuden episode 363

Yeah, this is pretty much what I wanted to see. It’s about time, too. No doubt that there’s a lot of people that were waiting to see the Ten Tails in action (and I am one of them). Not a big fan of what’s soon to come though.

[HorribleSubs] Naruto Shippuuden - 363 [720p].mkv_snapshot_07.06_[2014.05.23_23.29.36]So the Ten Tails finally sees the light of day (figuratively speaking) and decided to haul as much ass as it possibly could. Well, at least his master(s) decided that it was time to haul as much ass as possible. No idea what the Ten Tails itself wants to do, but those powerful beams are enough to level the entire battlefield in a minute. This won’t last long though. You know how it goes when a powerful enemy appears out of nowhere; the main character(s) will suddenly find a way to get stronger quickly in order to defeat that enemy and save the day once again.

[HorribleSubs] Naruto Shippuuden - 363 [720p].mkv_snapshot_19.46_[2014.05.23_23.30.00]Not that I want to continue pointing out the obvious, but I do feel that Madara is too overpowered. I’m not even that big a fan of that character. They should’ve made Itachi overpowered instead. I always saw him as this average character that appeared to be unbeatable because of his intellect and battle sense. That’s what made him a genius, I guess.

The next episode is still going to be very interesting. Madara, Obito and the Ten Tails versus hundreds (if not thousands) of Shinobi from all over the world. We’re bound to see all sorts of awesome Jutsu’s that will eventually end up in a lot of gif images. Google images, prepare yourself! A huge load is coming soon (no pun intended).
