Thank you, Japan. You officially killed Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso for me. The single most loved character on the show is about to kick the bucket in order to make things more dramatic? What a stupid idea if you ask me.
I don’t know how much longer Kaori-chan will live. This could be my second last post because she might die next week. I still don’t know what’s wrong with her, only that she agreed to have surgery so that she may live a little longer. I can only imagine that it’s a brain tumour or some other type of cancer that’s surging through her body.
Anyway, I listen to a bit of music at the end and it was quite nice, but I just couldn’t shake the thought of Kaori dying soon. I simply can no longer enjoy the story as much as I did at first. Kousei is making such remarkable progress and I can’t sit here and enjoy fully because I know that my favourite character is about to die a horrible death.Read More
Another great episode. So what if there wasn’t a lot of action? It continued something of much more value. You can’t love a show where there’s fighting during every single episode. You need to mix things up a little bit.
This episode was perfect for that. We basically got a little history lesson about the old man and how he used to live his life. He was all alone and only cared for his own survival. He killed and killed until he came across a young woman whom ended up stealing his heart. They lived together and did a lot of things together, including making a child together, which led to them being targeted for doing this impossible. A child from both a Ghoul and a human was supposedly impossible, yet they did it and the woman got killed for it and the child now missing.
It was a very interesting story and the old man lived a very interesting live. It’s too bad that they didn’t actually show us how he became a Ghoul, but that’s alright. It was quite interesting to see how he lived and why he changed to become the man he is today. It’s no wonder that other Ghouls choose to follow him out of their own free wills.
Nevertheless, he may have lived the last part of his life as peacefully as he possibly could considering the circumstances, but he and his friends are still Ghouls, which has caught the attention of the local authorities. The next episode should prove to be quite interesting as both the old man and his friends will have to defend themselves against many, many Ghoul-killing soldiers.Read More
Now this was a very eventful episode. A lot of death and destruction that you don’t often see in anime. It’s usually censored in order to protect the viewers, but not with Parasyte. That’s probably what I liked most about this show.
So humankind decided to fight against this parasitic threat that has been terrorizing the country for months now. It was quite shocking to see how those armed forces were willing to allow a few human sacrifices if it meant killing those parasites. They usually avoid that in anime or at least censor it to prevent viewers from complaining.
The real question is how they plan on killing the one human body that houses five or six parasites. You can shoot him and he won’t die, you can stab him and he won’t die and you can probably throw a grenade or two at him and he’ll still find a way to survive. How are those soldiers supposed to kill something like that when Shinichi and Migi couldn’t do anything but run from him?
I also noticed that those soldiers aren’t really familiar with those parasites. They only know so much. I mean, they successfully escorted a bunch of people out and identified a parasite. They immediately shot and killed it, which was fine, but they thought that they could continue with that strategy and that all would be fine. It is troubling because they already seemed to know that those parasites can detect one another, so why didn’t they assume that they would become suspicious when one of them suddenly disappeared? They must’ve known that the other parasites would notice and that they would do anything to survive.Read More
I am late today. I have been driving all over the city because I either forgot something or because I suddenly got called for extra work. At this point I am so tired that I actually feel like I could sleep for a whole week.
I would’ve kept this post short anyway even if I wasn’t short on time. I mean, I honestly don’t really care about those crows. Sure, it was interesting to get to know that playboy wannabe a little bit better, but in the end he still annoys me. I don’t care if he was discriminated against as a child. That doesn’t give him the right to act all high and mighty, especially not now when people need him.
Nevertheless, it’s quite obvious that Nanami is going to interfere. She has this habit of sticking her nose in places where it simply doesn’t belong. This leads to a lot of problems that makes Tomoe’s life just a little bit harder than it has to be. Curiosity is fine, but do not meddle with affairs that you know nothing of. That’s all.Read More
So something bad did end up happening, but I’m just glad it wasn’t the worst-case scenario. It would’ve been very weird if Maria, the single most important character on the show, whose name is in the title, were to die during this episode.
So Ezekiel turned into a spear-like thing and charged towards Maria as soon as she started chanting a spell in order to try and stop yet another war. Ezekiel, although not completely in control, decided to avoid a fatal wound by missing on purpose. This had not gone unnoticed. The fact that Archangel Michael noticed that she did it on purpose surprised me most of all. I mean, Ezekiel was not punished for her actions even though Archangel Michael’s orders are supposedly absolute. All known characters simply live to see another day.
There’s really only one character that I would like to see dead; that annoying bishop. He has lost his tiny little mind over this whole Maria affair. I know that those “holy men” are eager to spill blood when their religion or position of power are questioned, but this is ridiculous. Just because Maria is starting to become more and more popular…
Anyway, Maria survived and she doesn’t seem to want to want to stop meddling in those wars. This means that she will need to find a way to continue using her magic without being speared to death by Ezekiel. She either needs to make powerful allies or find a new source of power that will allow her to defend herself against Archangel Michael.Read More
