A pretty feisty ending if you ask me. I certainly have mixed feelings, but it doesn’t really matter. The second season will arrive later this year and we already have a good idea of what to expect from it.
I’ll start with McGillis; he killed his friend and used people as puppets in order to gain more and more power. The guy is obviously insane. He thinks that Gjallarhorn is so corrupt that killing, betraying and using people is the only way to restore it to its former glory. Smart… Cleaning a corrupt organisation by using your allies as disposable puppets.
I know it looks like Tekkadan succeeded. They managed to get to old man to his destination and all ended well for them. We all know that it’s only a temporary thing. The boys will go back only to be pulled back into another fight. That lunatic McGillis and their own organisation’s boss are out for more and more power.Read More
I wish the studio behind Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen would take a good look at Gate so that they might learn what a good ending is all about. Honestly… Gate never disappoints, does it? It’s been a rollercoaster since the very beginning.
The only injustice is that it’s over. I can only hope that there’s going to be another season of this. That warrior bunny and that cocky prince survived even though they were both defeated. That cannot be called justice. That prince is still at large and even though princess Pina will be the empire’s new ruler the guy still does have power.
I wanted to see so much more of Rory-chan and those other demi-gods, which is exactly why I am hoping for at least a third season. The thought of things ending at a point where that prince and warrior bunny are still at large, where Pina’s about to be crowned and where Rory-chan still has not yet been set free from that god is not an ending at all.Read More
This ending was a real disappointing one no matter how I look at it. There was no real closure, no real significant progress and I honestly wonder what the point of it all was. It almost seems a little bit cruel to be honest.
I mean, Oshutoru ends up dying in a very weird way (he turned to dust), and so Haku decides to take his place by pretending to be him and telling others that Oshutoru survived but Haku died. It seems highly illogical that he is going through life now as a dead general instead of announcing to the world who he really is.
The real kicker is that poor Kuon’s heart was mercilessly broken. She loves Haku and the news of him supposedly being dead did so much damage that she’s become a wandering loner once again. Is that supposed to be an ending? They didn’t wrap things up at all. Very disappointing indeed.Read More
I loved ERASED. Absolutely loved it. It made me raise the bar so high that the ending ended up to be a little disappointing. I guess there are a few things that I don’t fully agree with after all I’ve seen during the past three months.
I don’t like the idea of that lunatic sparing Satoru’s life because he couldn’t live without him anymore. What is up with that? I understand that he’s a total head case. I just cannot understand why he would spare Satoru’s life fifteen years ago, I certainly don’t understand why he didn’t take Satoru’s life during the fifteen years he’s been in coming and I absolutely do not understand why he didn’t kill him on that rooftop when he had the chance, especially after Satoru remembered everything. Could it be that I’m not crazy enough myself to understand such a mind-set?
I also don’t really like the way it ended in general. Satoru still lost fifteen years of his life, even though he technically already lived all those years before he went back in time, and he could only catch that lunatic by throwing himself off that roof in order to bait out that psychopath once and for all.
Not all of it was bad though. He ended up becoming a successful mangaka after all and he even ended up meeting the one girl that believed in him when no one else would. That makes it a bit more painful since it’s up to our imagination from this point forward. In my mind they get together eventually and have 2 kids.Read More
I suppose this was a pretty good ending if you compare it to other anime. I would love another season of this, but I highly doubt that we’ll get to see any more content any time soon (if ever). There’s still a possibility since they didn’t tie up all the loose ends.
We all knew that Qwenthur wouldn’t die. We knew that much. Being helped by the enemy is kind of embarrassing, asking them for their help afterwards was even worse but actually kneeling was the finisher. I know that he would do anything to help his friends, but kneeling for that cocky loli wasn’t cool no matter what.
But yeah, das wunderkind managed to pull of another miracle and ended up destroying the princess’ Object in order to prevent her from being killed by that A.I. controlled Object after hers was hijacked. What pisses me off is that that geezer wasn’t caught and that it ended with the princess landing into the arms of Qwenthur. That is why I hope for another season.Read More
