Okay, read up on this one and I must admit that I was pretty interested. That interest has somewhat shrunk after seeing the first episode. I guess I simply expected a lot more from this one after reading so many good things about the manga.
The artwork is alright. It is by no means the best, although I must point out that it’s pretty detailed. Those weapons look really good. It’s the characters that look a bit dull, but I can imagine that the studio can’t do a whole lot about that.
The story is what makes me doubt right now. Children become these beings with supernatural abilities through some kind of drug (I think), after which they attend special schools where they have to fight one another to become stronger or something.
I am sure things will become a lot clearer soon. Why is the protagonist not “normal”? Why is it so important that these characters need to become stronger? All of those questions will get answered soon, I’m sure. I will keep watching until then. I suggest you give this a fair try.
Plot Summary: he story begins with Blaze — a weapon that is the manifestation of a human’s soul. Tooru Kokonoe happens to be qualified for this, but for some reason his Blaze is not a weapon, but a shield. Moreover, he enrolled in a school that teaches combat skills, and thanks to the school’s Duo partner system, he ends up living with a beautiful silver-haired girl.
