Dimension W

What a nice show! I really enjoyed it and I think it’s one of the most promising shows of this season. I’m already thinking about writing a post every week.

Dimension WThe artwork is very good. I don’t know which studio is responsible for it, but I like it. The level of detail is pretty good and I love the characters and sceneries so far. It all looks very nice.

This is obviously no original work. You can tell that the story has been carefully worked out. It’s pretty complex and ever so interesting. I have high hopes for it.

I will certainly be watching this and I suggest you do the same. The first episode was superb and I think it’s only going to get better.

Plot Summary: Humanity harnessed a new inexhaustible energy from inventions called “Coils” in 2051. In 2072, a skilled recovery specialist named Kyōma Mabuchi encounters a mysterious, beautiful woman right in the middle of a certain job. It is a fateful encounter that opens the door to the new dimension “W.”

Nurse Witch Komugi-chan R

This was the absolute worst. I’m not a big fan of Mahou Shoujo anime to begin with, but this was actually worse than usual.

Nurse Witch Komugi-chan RThe artwork isn’t even worse mentioning. The level of detail is very disappointing and I couldn’t really bring myself to stay focused.

Story? What story? It’s a horrible monstrosity. They say it’s a parody and that it’s supposedly funny, yet I didn’t even laugh once. It was not interesting, not funny and I don’t think I’ll even bother watching the second episode.

Keep moving. This really isn’t worth watching. I’m not just saying that. Watching the first episode was a total waste of my time.

Plot Summary: Komugi Yoshida is a somewhat clumsy second-year middle-school student whose strong point is her spiritedness. She performs as an idol like Kokona Saionji (her classmate and close friend) and Tsukasa Kisaragi (an idol who dresses in male clothing). However, unlike Kokona whose popularity is skyrocketing and Tsukasa with her charisma in male attire, Komugi’s only gigs are low-end ones like those at the local shopping district. Still, Komugi has her “dream” as she lives her dual lives as a idol and a middle school girl. One day, a mysterious injured creature named Usa-P appears before Komugi and asks if she wants to be a Legendary Girl who can use magical powers. She reluctantly becomes Magical Nurse and fights waves of masked figures. Meanwhile, a Magical Maid and a Magical Sister also show up.

Bubuki Buranki

I don’t know why people are referring to Bubuki Buranki as a mediocre show. I actually thought it was rather amusing. It’s certainly better than some of the other shows I have seen so far this season. I mean, it beats the hell out of Norn9 or Active Raid.

Bubuki BurankiI have very few complaints about the artwork. It’s being made by the same studio that’s making Heavy Object. They’ve also worked on Black Rock Shooter, so I’m kind of sold.

Story-wise it’s a wildcard. Honestly… This could go either way. I was kind of reminded of Kamisama Dolls when I saw this and I am kind of hoping that it’ll be at least just as good. But yeah, it had a good start so I am pretty hopeful.

I honestly think it’s worth giving a chance. I was amused throughout the entire episode and I’m already quite interested in it. I suggest you give the first episode a try.

Plot Summary: Returning to Japan after having been away for 10 years, Azuma Akira finds himself attacked and captured by armed strangers. What saves him is his childhood friend, the girl Ōgon Asabuki, and the Bubuki that had become her right hand.

Durarara!!x2 Ketsu

I never could have imagined that Durarara would’ve gotten so popular. I honestly cannot bring myself to watch it. I tried the first season but I just kept losing interesting for some reason.

Durarara!!x2 KetsuI watched the first episode and it’s definitely not the artwork. It looks very nice, which is why I decided to watch the whole episode.

There’s something about the story that makes me want to watch something else. I just don’t really think it’s as interesting as some people make it out to be.

I’ll only recommend this to those that have seen the previous seasons. No point in saying anything else.

Plot Summary: Ikebukuro is engulfed in a spiral of confusion. A group of individuals, each carrying the weight of their own past, gathers at Shinra’s apartment, while in the city the Dollars, Yellow Scarves, and Saika contend for power. However, the situation takes a turn that no one could expect when Celty’s head is revealed to the public, as this tale approaches its conclusion.

Dagashi Kashi

This actually seems promising. It is a little ecchi and pretty funny. Story-wise it’s a little strange, but I do believe it shows promise.

Dagashi KashiThe artwork is good. Not much I can say about it. The characters look good and the level of detail is definitely not something I’ll be complaining about.

Story-wise it’s a bit of a wildcard. I don’t know if it turns out great or if it turns out like Shimoneta; a boring and predictable show.

I think it’s safe to recommend this for now. I mean, I had fun watching. I think I’ll be keeping an eye out for this one.

Plot Summary: Kokonotsu “Coconuts” Shikada dreams of becoming a famous manga artist. The only problem—he’s terrible. His real talent is selling the complex and delicious snacks in his father’s “dagashi” shop. He never thought much about the family business until the trendy, eccentric Hotaru showed up. As a lover of “dagashi,” she can’t let his talent go to waste and decides she won’t stop ‘til she’s sold him on sweets.

Koukaku no Pandora

I was kind hoping that this would end up to be quite something with it being a little ecchi and all. In the end I thought it was barely worth watching.

Koukaku no PandoraThe artwork is so-so. I don’t know which studio made this but I’m really not impressed so far. The greatest thing about the artwork is definitely the two main heroines, since they look rather cute, but the rest…

As for the story, well… I will admit that it seems a little interesting. I don’t know if it’s anything worth watching but it might get better. It might.

Ecchi fans will probably enjoy it. Or not. I don’t think it’s worthy of that genre since they’re robots. Nothing ecchi about a robot. I sure won’t be calling it a comedy since it really wasn’t that funny.

Plot Summary: When Nanakorobi Nene, a cybernetically enhanced girl-next-door, heads to the island metropolis of Cenancle to live with her aunt, she has no way of knowing what’s in store for her. A chance meeting intertwines her fate with that of the super-rich inventor, Uzal Delilah, and her adorable and grumpy companion, Clarion, who happens to be a cyborg just like Nene. Nene is thrilled to make a friend, but there’s more to Uzal and Clarion—and the island of Cenancle itself—than meets the eye. When a super-powered terrorist threatens Cenancle, Uzal claims that the only way to avert disaster is for Nene to team up with Clarion and use their combined powers—abilities Nene never even knew she had.

Gate 2

Thank you! Thank you so much! I have been waiting for this season for months now. It hurt that the first season ended so suddenly. I didn’t even realize it had ended until I realized a week later that no new episode had come out.

Gate 2The artwork is still as amazing as ever. The only negative thing I can say about it so far is that Rory-chan didn’t get a lot of screen-time during the first episode. Let that badass loli free!

It goes without saying that the story’s going to be great. The first season was fantastic and I am certain that this season will be just as great. It certainly started off with a bang.

I can honestly recommend this. It’s absolutely worth watching. No more need be said.

Plot Summary: A gate appears in Tokyo’s Ginza district sometime in the 21st century. From the gate pours out monsters, knights from middle-age Europe, and other fantasy-like beings, and they kill many of the citizens of Tokyo. This event is known as the Ginza Incident. The government sends a small group of soldiers from the Japanese Self-Defense Forces to the alternate world beyond the gate. Led by otaku soldier Yōji, they find that the villages in the world are being attacked by a dragon. An elf girl who is a survivor from the dragon’s rampage joins the group in their travels across the dangerous new world.

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu

I don’t care what people say about this. I honestly don’t care. I thought it was going to be a boring show with no interesting content whatsoever. Don’t worry world; I slapped myself for thinking like that as soon as I finished watching the first episode.

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo ShinjuuI simply love the artwork. It’s great to look at and I honestly won’t dare to make any changes if I were them. What a truly pleasant surprise this was.

And this story? Man. I thought I was going to go nuts when I saw that the first episode was forty-seven minutes long. Now I could very well do with another forty-seven minutes of this. The story sucks you in and you basically glue your eyes to your screen because it’s interesting.

I absolutely recommend this. Give it a try even if it doesn’t seem like your cup of tea. I didn’t think I’d like it either since I never really watch this sort of thing, but this show has me under its spell. I am definitely interested.

Plot Summary: The year was 1970s. Fascinated by the performance of rakugo master Yakumo the 8th at a philanthropic show in a prison, delinquent Kyōji visited Yakumo immediately after serving his term, begging Yakumo to take him in as an apprentice. To his surprise, master Yakumo agreed without much hesitation, yet things progressed not quite as Kyōji expected.
