Could it be? Does god really exist? I don’t know if I can suddenly start believe in such a fictional character just because I wished for a much, much better Oreimo ending. No point in questioning why something so wonderful happened.
First and foremost; Ruri got rejected! Oh happy day, Ruri got rejected! I started getting chills when I saw them taking quietly and acting all melodramatic. I almost stood up and clapped my hands when Kyousuke said no. Damn shame she played it cool, too, because I wouldn’t mind to have seen her shed a tear or two after all that she’s done.
So… Kirino is the lucky winner, huh? Well, we could all see it coming somehow. I still think that Ayase may have been a better partner, but this is fine too. They know they can’t get married, they know they can’t even live a normal life together because of their parents and the surely couldn’t possibly keep such a relationship a secret for long. Still, that kiss of theirs was beautiful!
The only thing that I am really disappointed about is Manami’s confession. It was so painfully obvious that she had a major crush on Kyousuke, yet they choose to make her confess at the last minute, just like Kanako. I could understand it in Kanako’s case, but it was a lot harder for me to swallow when Manami-chan did it.
Anyway, it has been broken. That thin, invisible line between legal and illegal, moral and immoral. The two siblings finally ended up together after all. Did you know that there were many people against another season? They thought that it would encourage people to have immoral relationships with blood relatives. How stupid is that? I’m just glad it ended this way. Well done!Read More
An OVA right away? Nice. It was a rather amusing piece of content to be honest. At one point I thought that were going to see a little bit of nudity, which is not entirely unusual in OVA’s, but no… They kept things pretty clean. Frankly, I’m rather happy about that. Nudity doesn’t go well with Accel World.
It was nice to see that the creator(s) aren’t completely out of ideas. They proved that via this OVA. A game type that lost its popularity, huh? Brilliant. I’m pretty sure that there are a lot of gamers out there that can relate to this. There’s always a select few group of gamers that stick to their most favourite game, no matter what. That will probably always be the case.
Anyway, it was rather strange to watch this episode. I had gotten used to the characters’ relationships. Suddenly Chiyuri was playing as though nothing had happened, Takumu was suddenly a lot more passive and the relationship between Haruyuki and Kuroyukihime was bumpier than ever before. It was pretty strange to watch, but it’s just an OVA I suppose. I will be looking forward to more Accel World content.Read More
Not bad, not bad at all. Maken-Ki ended somewhere in the end of December, and yet we get rewarded with an OVA this soon. It’s quite surprising that the OVA actually followed the manga’s story line. It was like I was watching the thirteenth episode of Maken-Ki!
To some who don’t already know this; I started reading the manga after watching the third episode of Maken-Ki. I could help it, these type of anime are my favourite. I simply got curious and I wanted to know what happened next. Keep in mind that I always try not to read the manga before the anime adaption finishes airing. That was another one of those rare occurrences.
The story takes place on the beach during break time. It seemed like fun and games at first, but we all know that it usually ends up in some sort of training program. This OVA was no exception. Takeru was set up to train by using wristbands with a lot of weight to them. He was supposed to wear them at all times whilst doing his exorcizes. He never once complained due to the type of guy he is. He has quite the admirable mentality, but also rather foolish.
Things took a turn for the worse when this perverted squid and whatnot came into the picture. Seriously, it was just like in the manga. This squid or whatever it was, took a hold of all the girls, touching them in all sorts of places. Needless to say that both Takeru and Kengo were enjoying every second of it. How many times do teenage boys get to see something like that?
Anyway, the problem soon got solved when Takeru finally used his Maken to dispel the perverted squid’s powers. Takeru saved them all this time, so it was only natural that he got saved later on by them. An eye for an eye as some would say.
I enjoyed this OVA, but I would enjoy it a lot more if we were blessed with yet another season of Maken-Ki! It’s not just the “fan service” that does it, oh no. It’s also the storyline where these unique powers are everything. It’s simply a good combination that makes the story interesting and fun to watch. We’ll just have to wait and see how the DVD and Blu-Ray sales go, because that will determine whether or not we will see a second Maken-Ki season.Read More
Good lord, the first season of Fate/Zero has just ended. Do not get me wrong, I love the fact that we got rewarded with more Fate content. It has been a very exciting, yet slightly aggravating season. Only fools say no to Fate.
The OVA starts with Archer and, from the looks of it, a male version of Saber. They seemed pretty happy when engaging one another in battle. I can only assume that it was yet another war for the Holy Grail.
The rest focusses on a little girl, a mage capable of using black magic, who ended up summoning a male version of Saber before almost getting killed. Seriously, doesn’t this just soon way too familiar? Anyway, it was pretty awesome too see.
But this girl had issues, lots of them. She was cowardly, too kind and had a very strange personality. All of Saber’s masters have been that way, haven’t they? Perhaps that’s the key to summoning a servant of the Saber class.
The OVA ended roughly the same way that Fate/Stay Night did, with Saber taking control of Excalibur and annihilating Archer.
Now, I’m normally not a big fan of 10 minute OVA’s, but I strongly recommend this one. It was very interesting to see, plus, how many times do you get to see a male servant of the Saber class?
P.S. To all fools: Please don’t hurt me! =(Read More
Okay, one more. This OVA was a long time coming, I for one have been waiting a long time now. A person would want to see something amazing, you know… Especially when you are being made to wait for this episode for this long.
Ahh~ I totally felt nostalgic when watching this. I saw so many old, yet familiar characters. The, ehmm… The ‘subject’ of this OVA was really unexpected. It was all about food, or more specifically; about amazing lunch boxes and how to make them.
It was a little bit of a letdown. I really wanted to see more of the relationship between Ryuuji and Taiga. But still, the comedy made up for that. It was hard not to laugh, so that’s always a good sign. Still, I don’t think I would count this OVA as must-see worthy though, despite the high level comedy.
Ryuuji was pissed of a lot during this OVA. He was enraged because he thought his cooking skills were lacking. This all came to light when Yuusaku brought lunchboxes to school that his grandmother made him. Ryuuji was impressed by those lunchboxes, so much that he himself started to doubt his own abilities.
That’s right, I’m not joking around. That really was the topic for this OVA. Ryuuji spent many hours behind the stove, hoping to perfect his lunchboxes. God only knows how much had been wasted thanks to his experiments. It had gotten to the point where he actually continued during school time. It was ridiculous when he ended up bringing his rice cooker too school.
The guy still wouldn’t give up, not even after he made such a big fuss in front of his classmates. Teenage boys shouldn’t think about food, you’ll end up bald and unloved. Teenage boys should be chasing tail, trying to buy liquor whilst being underage, that sort of stuff…
Like I said, the episode was definitely funny. But I wouldn’t go about telling people that they would have to see it. It doesn’t actually contribute anything. Still, I laughed my ass off, so I have no regrets! I, at this point, only hope that they will air content that focuses on their relationship.Read More
Ahhh… Good times, at least for me anyway, not so much for Kinji, who has to endure many hardships. He turns into a badass killer when he gets, not to sugarcoat the truth, horny. I turn into a mindless beast when I get horny. I’m not sure which one of us is the better man, lol.
I was waiting for this special, so it’s only natural for me to write about it. This special focusses on their trip to the hot springs. It’s only normal for teenage boys to be interested in naked, wet and young bodies. But, as to be expected from Hidan no Aria, these weren’t your average hot springs. It was being run by professional Butei, also known as professional killers.
Still, this shouldn’t kill their fun, as each and every one of them is already used to this life. But, poor Aria-chan, had to endure the toughest challenge, seeing as she was the one with the smallest breasts. This became very clear when all girls decided to use the open-air bath, revealing their voluptuous breasts. Aria was so intimidated that she actually pulled out her guns and started shooting at everything in sight. Kinji tried his best to ignore it, hoping he wouldn’t go into his hysteria mode.
But things started getting less lively when several mysterious “accidents” started to occur. It seems that someone was hypnotizing people and, when completely hypnotized, making them do the weirdest things. Everyone was convinced that this was part of the training, that it was the reason for them coming here. Things quickly turned for the worst when Kinji and the rest found their teacher and landlady, both tied up in the style of bondage.
Strange things started to happen when suddenly a little boy appears in front of them. He didn’t say anything, he just ran away, wanting to be followed. The decided to follow him, as expected, only to be lured into his trap. They found themselves in a room, a room filled with strange objects and seals.
All of them woke up the next morning, but none of them remembered how they got inside the car, why they were sleeping there and, most importantly, what caused all of this. It was an very amusing, yet be it strange episode.
I hope that the next OVA, as I’m pretty sure there’s going to be a next one, will have a little bit more action. Other than that; no complaints!Read More
Hell yeah! I was waiting for this one for a long time now, it’s too bad that there aren’t any more of these OVA’s on a more regular basis. For me it’s not the sex appeal that does it, it’s the hilarious scenes between characters that make me want to keep watching.
This OVA might just be one of the best I’ve seen so far. It’s entirely about the health checkup at school, you know what that means; A Lot of (half) naked girls jumping up and down, and lots of horny teenage boys trying to peep and videotape them. Ah… It’s great being young. It’s such a shame that those things were forbidden during my school days.
That all being said, I just can’t figure out why Keita was against peeping, a normal boy would’ve killed a puppy to see something like that. Okay, maybe not a puppy, but definitely a hamster. It’s ironically funny how his chivalry got him into a heap of trouble in the end.
There are two characters I just can’t come to terms with. First would be Miharu and her overall shyness. She does her very best to avoid Keita at all cost, but in the end those two always end up colliding and her urine, no matter how, ends up on or near Keita. This time she peed into a cup because of the health checkup, but Keita walked into her and her urine ended up on Keita’s head. You just have to wonder; does she have some kind of pee-fetish?
The second would be Yuuzuki, a teacher with quite the imagination, who always seems to think about Keita. She does everything within her power to keep Keita away from either Ako or Riko and, when given the chance, she fantasizes about Keita in a rather sexual way. The hell?
But the spotlight was, as expected, on Ako and Riko, who decided to be competitive about their results. The loser, also known as the one who weighs the most, wasn’t allowed to eat dinner that day. Those two went through all sorts of checkups together, but they ended up equally matched until it was time to measure their weight. Riko was the one, despite Ako’s efforts, who even got naked in order to weigh less, who came as the winner.
This OVA was absolutely hilarious, I recommend it strongly to all the fans out there! I just wish that they picked up another season of Kiss x Sis, because the DVD/Blu-Ray sales were pretty good.Read More
My god, the show just ended and they’re already airing OVA’s? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against it. I just wished they made more serious OVA’s. This was just weird, one sided and predictable.
The entire OVA revolved around Kuro, Rin’s familiar. He ran away after Rin teased him with food, threatening not to leave him any if he doesn’t hurry up. He wandered around the school grounds all day, looking for people who’d feed him. Nobody would so he ended up going back to Rin’s hometown, the place where Shirou passed away. Kuro wanted to “see” Shirou again, so he traveled many a mile to do that.
Once there he visits Shirou’s grave and says what’s on his mind. He must’ve had a lot to say, because he spent the entire night there. It was already morning by the time he woke up, so he left, only to find Rin waiting for him. Rin apologized for his fooling around and told Kuro that he didn’t mean anything by it. So yeah, we yet another happy ending.
I just hope the next OVA will be a lot more serious. This was fairly amusing to watch, but I wouldn’t go around recommending people to watch it.Read More
