Amagi Brilliant Park episode 05

Fine. I will admit it. I am getting really anxious here. When the hell is that park going to open? It has been four weeks since Seiya closed that park for renovation and repair purposes and we just passed the fifth episode and it’s still closed. What the hell?

[Vivid] Amagi Brilliant Park - 05 [FB41CAC2].mkv_snapshot_07.56_[2014.11.01_22.59.51]I am aware that the park is huge. Parks like that usually are. I have been to Disney Land Paris myself a few times and I can clearly remember how my legs were killing me at the end of the day. For there to be a second park is just ridiculous. Yes, it could help them get more customers by offering them a broad variety of attractions and shows, but that just means more maintenance and costs for the park, which currently does not have the necessary funds to get all of that going. It doesn’t even have the funds to repair some of the things that need to be repaired.

[Vivid] Amagi Brilliant Park - 05 [FB41CAC2].mkv_snapshot_14.49_[2014.11.01_23.00.07]I was actually surprised when I read that bit about the workers not being paid. I wonder what that’s about. That park is their source of life. They need people to remember and love them for them to survive in that world. Why pay them when they are working in order to live? Would it be so bad to give them a pay cut or two?

I really am a little disappointed I guess. I did not like the idea of selling some Otaku character’s anime and game collection in order to be able to pay the bills for a month. What is next? Are they going to sell organs next to make the next payment? I don’t like to see an easy way out like that. I hope that this was the last of that and that the park opens soon.

Amagi Brilliant Park episode 04

Wooh~! I did not expect a little twist like this one. I am rather pleased with it, actually. It just goes to show that Amagi Brilliant Park is so ridiculous (a good kind, of course) that it makes it hard to predict what will happen next.

[Vivid] Amagi Brilliant Park - 04 [C442142C].mkv_snapshot_03.42_[2014.10.25_23.50.24]The almighty Seiya, whose perfect life partner is himself, was really on his game for most part of the episode. He managed the park like a real manager, make improvements, made suggestions and executed idea’s like tomorrow would never come. He was really on fire. The same thing cannot be said for Isuzu, whom felt like a useless third wheel. She realized that most of her suggestions weren’t necessary because Seiya was already on top of it. She became very agitated and aggressive because of it. It was a side of her we have never seen before and I kind of liked it!

[Vivid] Amagi Brilliant Park - 04 [C442142C].mkv_snapshot_14.15_[2014.10.25_23.50.49]Still, Isuzu proved that she wasn’t completely useless. She proved to be quite capable in emergency situations. She took control and gave out orders to the staff that resulted in a successful rebound. The rain ended up doing minimal damage and the park was once again saved from the clutches of Mother Nature.

Still, this was the fourth episode and the park is still closed. They are still working hard to improve the attractions and clean up the park. The problem is still money. They have too little of it and not everyone can get what he/she wants. I wonder if this will become a problem when the park reopens, which should be any week now.

Amagi Brilliant Park episode 03

I know that this has been a thing since the beginning, but I cannot get over how annoying Seiya can be. He thinks of himself as some kind of god. Everything he does is great, everything he wears makes him look great and in his mind there’s no one out there as good as he is. The guy needs a reality check…

[Vivid] Amagi Brilliant Park - 03 [9F3D6650].mkv_snapshot_04.43_[2014.10.18_22.58.32]Also, those fights with Moffle are getting a little old, although I have a feeling that they will be occurring in future episodes as well. The pattern is always the same, isn’t it? Seiya implements one of his ideas, Moffle comes in angry and starts swinging his fists (or should I say paws?) at Seiya and they both end up getting shot by Isuzu. The first few times were funny, just don’t make it a regular thing.

Is Seiya doing it wrong? Don’t you dare to even think that, fool. He came up with the idea to have all the girls do a promotional video in their bikinis. That alone makes him a great manager in my book. He even came up with an ingenuous plan to make sure that people actually watched that video. What more could you possibly want?

[Vivid] Amagi Brilliant Park - 03 [9F3D6650].mkv_snapshot_21.42_[2014.10.18_22.59.09]I also could not help but notice that Isuzu is starting to get a little bit nervous around Seiya. Maybe he finally got through to her? It’s kind of obvious that she has a school girl crush on him, but the fact that she’s different than other girls makes it all the more interesting. How in the world will that even work out? That’s what I want to know.

And finally, I have to once again focus on the fact that they need half a million visitors a day before their deadline. During this episode they didn’t even have five hundred. I know that’s because the park is still closed because of renovations and whatnot, but come on… that’s just bad. They really need to speed things up a little.

Amagi Brilliant Park episode 02

I wasn’t sure I’d write about this when I saw the first episode, but the second episode turned out to be even better and even more interesting than the first, so I am sold. It may be a little on the childish side, but I can look past that.

[Vivid] Amagi Brilliant Park - 02 [EEA5B675].mkv_snapshot_05.32_[2014.10.11_23.00.48]So Seiya, the protagonist, got dragged to that park again by that trigger-happy Isuzu. Doesn’t she realize that she’s doing more bad than good by materializing those guns of hers? The only reason why Seiya came along with her wasn’t necessarily because of those guns being pointed at him, but more because he’s a weird character to begin with. He doesn’t seem very sociable, caring or compassionate. He, almost right away, struck me as the type of character that does everything for a reason. Everything has to be beneficial somehow. The guy’s a schemer.

[Vivid] Amagi Brilliant Park - 02 [EEA5B675].mkv_snapshot_21.39_[2014.10.11_23.01.19]That whole employee meeting, which ended up winning Seiya over, was quite annoying because of that crocodile. I hate selfish hypocrites like that. Just kick that whining little pr*ck out and get a better replacement. Besides, are there really people out there that would find sharks lovable and cute? There can’t be many out there…

Things are bound to get more interesting from now on. Seiya can read minds and apply any and all input into the park in order to lure in more visitors. The only thing that’s missing here is a little bit of ecchiness. There, I said it. You all know I’m right. How could I not be when we’ve got a huge harem going here.

Amagi Brilliant Park

The first episode was really rough. I did not expect the protagonist to be forced to go on a date by a girl with guns. I did not expect that at al. Of course, there was something behind it. No girl would drag a boy to a deserted amusement park without a good reason.

Amagi Brilliant ParkThe artwork is good. It looks very nice and it is surprisingly detailed. You can clearly tell that the author didn’t mind going all out on the characters. They look very nice indeed.

The artwork, as good as it is, wasn’t the reason why I decided to watch and write about Amagi Brilliant Park. The story is quite interesting. It makes you wonder what is going to happen next, which is a good sign. There definitely aren’t many stories like these.

I recommend this completely. It is funny, interesting and it promises to be a little romantic as well. All that’s missing is a couple of panty shots and accidental touches and voila.

Plot Summary: Seiya was forced to accept an invitation to an amusement park by the mysterious and beautiful girl Isuzu. What he didn’t know was that she would bring him to the decrepit Amagi Brilliant Park, Japan’s most disappointing amusement park. Seiya is introduced to the leader of the Park, the “real princess” Latifah, who suddenly entrusts him with saving the park, which is in danger of shutting down. Amagi Brilliant Park, it turns out, is not just any amusement park, but rather one populated by fairies.
