Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou episode 04

This episode made me realize that I was captured by the illusion of progress. I honestly think that there has been no progress since this show first started, but I’ll get to that later. I just want to point out that it is said, from a semi-reliable source, that this show will have thirteen episodes. It’s not yet confirmed though.

[Commie] Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - 04 [7BAB26E2].mkv_snapshot_06.12_[2014.04.26_23.17.43]Now then, why did it take me so long to realize that I was being filled by the idea of progress? I finally realized… Kazunari, the protagonist, first messed up somehow and makes up for it later. That’s not actually progress. You lose ten points at first and earn ten points later on. Things are basically staying the same. What kind of fool thinks that it’s smart to aggressively follow a girl around when all she wants to do is read books in peace? Stalkers would be gods amongst men if that sort of thing actually worked on women. That’s right, I would be a god amongst men.

[Commie] Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - 04 [7BAB26E2].mkv_snapshot_21.40_[2014.04.26_23.18.20]Ritsu is one of the strangest characters I’ve met so far. I just can’t figure her out. Why does she hide herself behind a book? Being anti-social is one thing, but having a book in your hands for the better part of a day is just too much. It’s no wonder that people are worried about her future well-being if she doesn’t change soon.

What can I expect from Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou? Ritsu is like fort Knox; finding a way to break in is going to be nearly impossible. Kazunari can only follow her around for the time being in the hope of catching her attention. Don’t you feel bad for Kazunari, too? I know I sure do. No man should have to go through all that just to get noticed by an anti-social girl.

Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou episode 03

You can tell that progress is going to be really slow with this one. I guess we might as well enjoy the comedy for the time being, because the romance is still far away from the looks of it. Just so you know; those lovey-dovey moments where the characters blush… Yeah… I refuse to call that romantic.

[Commie] Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - 03 [C4420432].mkv_snapshot_05.30_[2014.04.19_23.33.00]So Kazunari-kun got himself a bicycle, huh? Good for him! It’s kind of sad that he actually thought that Ritsu-chan would sit behind him every day to school. His expectations are very low if he thinks that’s some kind of victory. It’s even sadder if he only bought that bicycle because he wanted to go to school with Ritsu every day.

I’m also losing faith in Mayumi-chan. She’s far too naïve. A guy cheats on her and she comes crawling back to him because he wants to get laid? Either Mayumi is truly naïve and dumb or she’s the type of girl that likes to sleep around. I don’t know… She’s basically standing on the line between gullible and slut. That’s the case with most girls nowadays, isn’t it?

[Commie] Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - 03 [C4420432].mkv_snapshot_15.08_[2014.04.19_23.33.21]What can I expect from Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou? I can tell that Ritsu is slowly starting to keep an eye on Kazunari. That’s a good sign I suppose. And Kazunari is still going nuts for Ritsu, so that’s fine as well. I especially liked the part where Ritsu threw that book at that guy in order to prevent Kazunari from being beaten up by one of Sayaka’s flings. It really makes you wonder what kind of person Sayaka is… I for one don’t like her at all. She’s pretentious, cunning and her whole personality is just too suspicious. I don’t think people like that can ever be truly happy with themselves. No way…

Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou episode 02

I would feel very ashamed if I didn’t write about this one. It’s incredibly entertaining! The total number of episodes isn’t known yet, so I’m kind of hoping for at least twenty-four of them. I’m sure it’s good enough for a long run.

[Commie] Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - 02 [964C1431].mkv_snapshot_05.26_[2014.04.12_23.42.14]So granny decided to leave the building, huh? Why not? Just leave a couple of teenagers alone in the house. I mean, nothing could go wrong, right? Just that they all went crazy and started playing with bubbles. Yeah, bubbles. I never knew that watching something so pointlessly childish could be so entertaining. It got even better when Ritsu joined in. I cannot help but keep my eyes on that character. She’s adorable and her stubbornness is too cute to describe. I almost feel like becoming one of those die-hard nerds that actually fall in love with 2D characters. That’s not good…

[Commie] Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - 02 [964C1431].mkv_snapshot_18.16_[2014.04.12_23.42.32]The best part, for me at least, happened when Kazunari came walking in with those panties. I really don’t like the idea that those actually belonged to the old granny. The image of her wearing that still haunts my mind. I think I’d rather have that perverted masochist wear them, and that actually says a lot coming from me.

Now, a new character joined and I have no idea how this is going to turn out. She seems like the type of person that’s actually quite shallow and two-faced. I don’t like it. She acts too cute and certainly didn’t seem to look it when Kazunari was getting on quite well with Mayumi. I think she’s going to be quite a pain the ass.

Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou

My dear readers, do any of you know how to repair roofs? Because I drilled a hole in mine when I happily jumped up and down after watching the first episode of Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou. My expectations for this show are freakishly high. I dare say that it’s almost certain that I’m going to write about this one.

Bokura wa Minna KawaisouThe artwork is superb. It’s very detailed and the characters look magnificent. It’s truly joyous to look at and I don’t think anyone would disagree. I’m also digging those subtle ecchi shots where a character’s skirt might be blown up by the wind or shirts being pulled slightly down for some reason… Yeah… Good stuff!

The story does not fall far behind. It’s definitely interesting. You have a head-over-heels-in-love character that complains about everything, you have a masochistic pervert, a two-faced granny, a bookworm and a sexy drunk. Well done, Japan!

I recommend this one alright. It’s funny, potentially romantic and it truly looks very promising. I will be following this one until the end. I’m sure of it.

Plot Summary: Usa, a high-school student aspiring to begin a bachelor lifestyle, moves into a new apartment only to discover that he not only shares a room with a perverted roommate that has an obsession for underaged girls, but also that another girl, Ritsu, a love-at-first-sight, is living in the same building as well!
