Yeah, I suppose I do find this ending rather good. It may have been a little rushes and not all questions were answered, but I suppose it’s because I wanted to see a lot more of DanMachi. It saddens me that it’s already over.
DanMachi truly was this season’s underdog. Many people thought that it was another dirty anime when they saw that busty loli Hestia and thought that it was going to be more fan service than anything else. Things soon changed after only a couple of episodes. People came around and saw DanMachi for was it truly was; a great show.
I’m not sure if there’s ever going to be a sequel. I haven’t heard anything yet. Not even an item about the possibility of a sequel. That’s why I’m kind of satisfied with this ending as it had everything you could wish for; a badass boss, a huge fight and a happy ending. That finishes things pretty nicely if you compare it to the endings of other shows.
I knew that Bell-kun’s latest skill would be the key to him defeating that boss. His attack being amplified like that allowed him to slay that boss before it could destroy them all. That’s all very cool and impressive that Bell-kun managed to rise to the occasion, but I still think that it could’ve been avoided if Hestia hadn’t used her divine powers after Bell-kun had already won the day (so to speak). It seems kind of pointless if you think about it. Bell and his friends were safe and so was she, so there was no point in having her interfere. I wonder if that happened in the manga as well or if it was just their way of ending the show. Either way; I am pleased. I’m glad I watched this show and that I wrote about it.Read More
Another great episode. It’s truly a darn shame that I have to keep this post short because it definitely deserves better. Unfortunately, I think I’ve come down with the flu. I’m cold and can’t stop shaking. I just want to write and plan this post and dive straight into bed.
So Bell-kun ended up being tested once again. His insane progress has caught the eyes of many people, including the divine, so it came as no surprise when that god, Hermes, decided to test his skills. I’m pretty sure Bell passed when he defeated that guy after he realized how to do it. But hey, that’s not what’s important here.
Hestia made it known who she was and it caught the attention of others. She’s not allowed to be in the dungeon and she knows that. She will have to face the consequences. It’s a damn shame, too, because Bell-kun didn’t even need any help. He had already won when she popped up. I guess the final episode is going to be quite eventful.Read More
This did not go nearly as I had thought. I dare say that it was way too easy. I made me wonder even more about how they’re going to end things. I mean, Bell-kun hasn’t really achieved anything yet, right? He just got stronger, that’s all.
It surprised me to see how this episode went. Bell and his friends nearly died last week when they were forced to run from hordes of monsters on the middle floors. They got trapped and forced to go further down into the dungeons in order to reach dungeon eighteen’s safe zone. You don’t expect things to go so smoothly after all that.
To be honest; I thought that Bell would have had to fight against that boss. I mean, he spawned, he was big and I was under the impression that he wouldn’t be able to pass due to him having to carry both of his friends. I thought that he would somehow manage to defeat that boss with that new super skill of his and that he would instantly level up to level three at his next update. That would’ve been awesome. A bit predictable perhaps, but awesome.
But hey, it didn’t come to that. He evaded those monsters, got passed that boss and made it to the safe zone of the eighteenth floor where he met up with Aiz and her party. It came as no surprise that she would eventually pop up at some point. She, subconsciously, is interesting in Bell and would do anything in her power to help him in his time of need. So yeah, she had her friends treat their wounds and allowed them to stay until Hestia and the rest could catch up to them, which didn’t take them all that long. They kind of came for nothing if you think about it. But hey, Hestia could update Bell’s status and make him stronger again (provided that it doesn’t give her away).Read More
Oh no… It dawned on me… Just three more episodes before DanMachi ends. I really wonder how they’re going to end this. I mean, the protagonist just levelled up and isn’t anywhere near his goal. There’s still quite a lot of stuff that needs to be explained.
You could never hate this pace. Things are moving along so nicely that there’s never a dull moment. I absolutely love that. The one thing I cannot understand is that that so-called goddess of beauty is still making Bell’s life pointlessly hard. She continues to manipulate monsters in order to make his dungeon experiences extremely dangerous. Those are really not the actions of someone in love. She’s just a bored goddess that’s looking for a toy to play with in order to kill time. I wonder what Hestia would do to her if she ever found out about it.
But hey, Bell-kun’s in deep sh*t. He and his two friends are stuck in the middle level dungeons and the only way out is for them to move further down into the dungeons where they might encounter even stronger monsters or even bosses. The fact that his newest friend is badly injured certainly won’t improve his chances of survival.
But hey, we all know that Bell-kun, at least, is going to make it out. This is not the type of show that kills of main characters. I can’t say for sure that both of his friends will make it out though. I could definitely see one of them dying at some point, especially if that search party doesn’t arrive in time. Mind you, if one of them has to go I do hope it’s that blacksmith. Bell-kun is funny and that girl is just too damn adorable.Read More
I just cannot stop loving DanMachi… I find it hilarious how the ratings have skyrocketed as time passed. People realized right away how amazing DanMachi truly is. The only bad thing about DanMachi is that there are only thirteen episodes.
So let’s start off with Bell-kun’s promotion! He levelled-up and finally got himself a title. Sure, that title, “Little Rookie”, may not sound as impressive as most of us would want it to be, but it’s a step in the right direction. Making a name for yourself and your “familia” is a very good start. Who knows? This might lead to more members.
Speaking of which; this is also rather bad. People have begun to notice that there’s something up. The sword Princess took a year to get to the second level. It didn’t even take Bell-kun two months. He’s going too fast. This caught the attention of pretty much everyone around him, including the gods, whom may or may not come after him.
But hey, that’s still in the future. I’m more interested in that blacksmith that he teamed up with. Bell-kun wanted to buy more items from the same blacksmith. So he went to that shop and actually ended up meeting that very blacksmith in person. They decided to form a contract; Bell-kun helps him out in the dungeon and in return that blacksmith agreed to exclusively make him weapons, armour and god only knows what else. His background seems to be pretty interesting and I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing Bell with a few magical weapons, but hey… I’m okay with how things are now. Just make sure Bell-kun because even more awesome!Read More
Another great episode. DanMachi started out so underrated because it was a little ecchi and people thought that it was going to be one of those cheap shows that cared more about fan service than giving us a good story. Wrong! It turned out to be a great show and the ratings now reflect that.
This episode turned out quite nice. Bell-kun has been training with the sword princess for a whole week and even she could not believe how fast his progress was. This is both good and bad. It’s good that he’s making a lot of progress that might just end up saving his life more than once, but it’s bad that others are now starting to notice that there’s something abnormal about his progress. People get suspicious when he can do things that someone of his level shouldn’t be able to do yet, not to mention the fact that he’s clearing dungeons that other players would take months if not years to reach.
Have I said that I absolutely love the pace in DanMachi? Of course I did. It’s amazing. I can’t say it enough. They didn’t waste any time on bringing out that powered-up Minotaur for Bell-kun to defeat. That insane goddess was watching in ecstasy as Bell-kun slashed that thing up as though tomorrow would never come for him.
The sad part is that he almost lost. Do you know what I want to see right now? A stats update that would put him in the same league as the sword princess. It would open so many doors. Sure, it would probably make him an overpowered character in no-time (which I would also love), but just image the possibilities… Bliss…Read More
You know, someone mailed me yesterday and said; “GameDemon, you know, the anime has actually already caught up with the manga for as far as it has been translated.” Reading that actually put a frown on my face. I almost gave in and read the manga. I am really glad I didn’t now.
Quite a lot has happened during this episode. And you know, I really think that Seraph of the End can learn from DanMachi. The pace of DanMachi is wonderful. It’s all moving along so nicely; rarely a dull moment. I mean, that little cat-girl ended up joining Bell’s little family against the wishes of his goddess, Hestia. Mind you, Hestia’s not a mean goddess. She just doesn’t like it if other girls get too close to her beloved Bell-kun. But hey, nothing new there, right? Hestia has always been devoted to him and can be quite the possessive girl when she wants to be.
But yeah, I could see that one coming already. What I couldn’t see coming is that he, Bell-kun, would be reunited with the girl that he has been running away from all this time. Yes, the beautiful sword princess, Ais. It seems that she came to return something that belongs to Bell by contacting his guild advisor.
Yeah, did not see that one coming. She trapped him nicely so that he couldn’t run away again before she got to talk to him. Nor could I see it coming that she would end up training him a little when it comes to fighting properly. Who knows? They might actually get together at one point if they continue to spend more quality time together.Read More
Okay, this episode was very predictable. We all saw it coming and we all knew what was going to happen. That is why I am going to keep this post short as well because there is little that I want to say. Most of it I’ve said already in my previous post.
So Bell-kun got tricked by that midget after all. Gee, who could’ve possibly seen that coming? I’m guessing everyone. I’ve been saying it for some time now. That girl would trick him to get a hold of that knife and eventually, for being who he is, he’d still help her in her time of need. Tricksters always get tricked by others. That’s how it works.
What happens next? Obvious much? That girl is going to become part of Bell’s group and continue to support him now that he’s saved her life after all that she’s done to him. Her heart has been conquered and she’s been freed from that strange family of frauds and scams. That is the only route that I see right now.Read More
