ERASED episode 04

I managed to find myself small half hour of free time to write and schedule this post without throwing up. Sure, it’ll be shorter than this episode deserves, but I believe that I can make it work with what little time I have right now.

[HorribleSubs] Boku dake ga Inai Machi - 04 [720p].mkv_snapshot_11.32_[2016.02.01_00.50.07]I’ll put my foot down here. I still believe that Kayo-chan’s mother isn’t the killer. She is definitely abusive, but I don’t see her killing her daughter. She seems to value her freedom. Nor do I suspect that model plane freak, no matter how mentally unstable he may be. I’m still just going back and forth between that boyfriend and their homeroom teacher.

I think it’s safe to exclude that mentally unstable shut-in because Satoru’s mother was killed about 18 years later when he wasn’t around, which means that the killer wasn’t him. I’m sure that Satoru has already made that connection. I just wonder if he can go back in time again if it turns out that Kayo was killed a day later. I can hardly wait to see the next episode…

ERASED episode 03

A very good, yet confusing episode. We are going around in circles. Is that character the criminal? No is it that one after all? They are throwing in so many options right now that it’s too damn hard to come up with a good theory. It could be the fever though?

[HorribleSubs] Boku dake ga Inai Machi - 03 [720p].mkv_snapshot_20.43_[2016.01.24_23.47.06]I thought that it was his homeroom teacher. He looked a lot like the guy that killed the protagonist’s mother, but that would be a little too obvious, which seems very unlike ERASED. I think that abusive mother of hers is also a little too obvious. She is very hostile towards her but I don’t think she would go as far as to actually kill her.

We also met the guy that got framed for it; a very lonely guy with quite a few social problems. Yes, he seems kind, but those are usually freaks. But hey, still too obvious. As for the mother’s boyfriend/husband? Also a very good possibility. It’s also possible that he’s the one (sexually) abusing that poor girl and the mother is trying to cover it up in order to keep him happy. There are just too many options right now.

ERASED episode 02

I knew it. This was destined to be an instant hit. I was hooked in one go. This episode pretty much made me want to write about it. You know, it almost looks predictable seeing as most viewers think that that teacher’s the one that murders Satoru’s mom in the future, but I don’t think it’s that simple.

[HorribleSubs] Boku dake ga Inai Machi - 02 [720p].mkv_snapshot_19.06_[2016.01.18_00.38.58]I’m talking about that guy that teaches Satoru as a child. He doesn’t seem to realize it that something’s wrong, but he thinks that Kayo’s mother is the one that’s abusing her because of the bruises on her body. The only thing you can do right now is speculate. Nothing is certain and I am pretty sure that it’s only going to get weirder.

Make no mistake; the mystery is not what won me over. It’s the interesting story of the protagonist with the ability to go back in time to save his mother or to go back a few minutes in time to save a random person. It’s the sort of story that makes you want to sit and watch because you know that the possibilities are endless with a story like that. I am looking forward to next week!

Well now… This might actually have hit this season’s top 3 anime. I didn’t really think much of it when I read the summary, but it turned out to be pretty darn good. I really want to watch what’ll happen next now that the protagonist’s mother seems to have been murdered.

ERASEDI honestly don’t think there’s anything wrong with the artwork. The level of detail is pretty high and I love the characters so far. I heard that the studio behind this also made SAO, Fairy Tail and many other amazing titles. I have a lot of faith in it.

I also give the story two thumbs up so far. It started off quite powerful. Certainly powerful enough to make me want to watch the next episode as soon as possible. Murder, supernatural abilities and a whole lot of mystery. What more could you want?

I certainly recommend this. Yeah, sure, it can be a little bit heavy, but I like that. Not everyone has a fragile mind. I have high hopes for this one.

Plot Summary: Satoru Fujinuma is a struggling manga artist who has the ability to turn back time and prevent deaths. When his mother is killed he turns back time to solve the mystery, but ends up back in elementary school, just before the disappearance of his classmate Kayo.
