Gin no Saji 2 episode 03

Good episode. Good but very complicated. I have so many hopes for Gin no Saji. There’s so much that I want to see, but I need to accept the fact that Gin no Saji simply isn’t that type of show. It’s not about romance or personal relationships.

[HorribleSubs] Gin no Saji S2 - 03 [720p].mkv_snapshot_08.08_[2014.01.25_22.54.16]It was interesting to see Yugo deal with more hardship. People tend to sympathize with the guy because of his background and current situation. Not me. He has two parents far away that don’t bother him, that pay for him to go to school there and for him to continue living like he has. That is not hard at all. Just because he has parent issues doesn’t mean he has a hard time getting by. There are plenty of students in that school whose family is as poor as it gets and barely get by as it is. There are students in that school that have to help out as much as they can for as long as they possibly can. Now those are real hardships.

[HorribleSubs] Gin no Saji S2 - 03 [720p].mkv_snapshot_19.41_[2014.01.25_22.55.10]Yugo was supposed to make his horse jump. He failed time and time again because he was trying to control the horse when the horse actually does most of the work. He got so aggravated when the rest of his friends were doing it in one go. That’s when I finally realized that Yugo’s actually quite spoiled. He thinks everything is going to be okay as long as he tries long enough. That horse would’ve died if he got his way…

I immediately realized that nothing would happen between him and Aki as soon as he started acting that way. Yes, Aki is still hiding something from him, but that’s not it. Yugo often thinks about himself and forgets about everything around him. He needs to lose that mentality…

Gin no Saji 2 episode 02

This episode sure explains a lot. I have been wondering for quite some time why there was a little dog in almost every Gin no Saji picture I came across before the second season finally started. It’s quite a nice addition from what I’ve seen so far.

[HorribleSubs] Gin no Saji S2 - 02 [720p].mkv_snapshot_01.02_[2014.01.18_23.10.06]It really came as no surprise that Yugo, the guy that found the dog, ended up owning him. He will have to feed him, walk him, make sure that he gets his injections, and for what? To be the good guy here? That guy seriously has a bad habit of taking on as much responsibility as he possibly can. It’s like has this weird desire to please every single person around him. People simply need to know that they can depend on him to solve their problems. It’s that type of guy that’s easily manipulated by others. They can make him do anything they want and he’ll probably do it, too, because he feels obligated. How foolish…

[HorribleSubs] Gin no Saji S2 - 02 [720p].mkv_snapshot_18.17_[2014.01.18_23.10.37]Still, I think this might be for the best. The cast gained a little dog to focus on. Yet a new character that introduces a lot of new ways to make people laugh. Those scenes where Yugo tried to train Vice President, as the dog is called now, were especially funny. That’s why I have high hopes for what’s to come.

Gin no Saji is a great show. However, I feel that it could do so much better if it was a bit more romantic. Wouldn’t you want to see Yugo and Aki going on a date or something? It’s a great story with great characters. A bit of romance would do wonders for the story, I’m sure of it. The story is perfect that sort of thing.

Gin no Saji 2

I don’t get this… Why does Gin no Saji only get twelve episodes? It’s not the type of show that gets boring quickly and it’s quite popular. A second season was green-lit almost right after the first one ended and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are already thinking about a third one.

Gin no Saji 2The artwork is still as great as ever. They are doing their best to bring us accurate stuff and it clearly shows. My family is “fond” of farm life, so I have a rough idea of what is accurate and what is not. Silver Spoon basically has it all.

I can’t say much about the story to be very honest. The only thing I will say is that I’m hoping for Yugo’s success. He really impressed me during the first season. That is why I’m kind of hoping for his success. Allow the guy some happiness and make Aki his girlfriend already!

This part will be short: Yes. Watch the first season if you haven’t already and be sure to watch this one as well. It’s worth the watch, trust me.

Plot Summary: Yuugo Hachiken decided to escape from the stressful school and home environment in the city by enrolling at Ouezo Agricultural High School. Unlike his peers who’ll eventually embark upon an agricultural career, he decides to study there only because he believes it’ll be less competitive academically. Unfamiliar with his new surroundings, he tries his best to adapt to the agricultural world he had never thought of living in.
