An extremely weird ending to an extremely weird anime, isn’t that right? Mind you, already knew that something like this would happen. There have been rumours going around about a second season, but I for one highly doubt it. This finished things off pretty nicely.
I’m sure we all remember that that cute little girl, Ghutatan, disappeared during the last episode? Well, apparently she did that to ‘lure’ Mahiro into another world, a world where her servant ruled. To think that yet another mutated Pokémon was the culprit all along, how stupid. At least come up with a bad ass monster, instead of a monster with (surprise) a lot of tentacles. Only in Japan.
That’s all fine too, I suppose. But at least give that guy a proper reason for taking over. Playing each and every adult video game is not a good reason for world domination. Sure, the personality fits the monster, but for crying out loud… Really? A monster with dozens of tentacles that tries to take over the world in order to play adult video games? Maybe it’s just me, but doesn’t that just sound way too lazy?
I did like one thing in particular about this episode though; Mahiro was all alone at one point. He cried out to Nyaruko for help when he was attacked by that monster, which proves once and for all that he does rely on her at certain times. Poor kid, he might as well just give in and let Nyaruko do whatever she wants with his body. I know I would.
The anime has been one strange ride, and yet I have been entertained by each and every episode. I’m glad that I gave Haiyore! Nyaruko-san a shot, as I was actually thinking about dropping it after the second episode. Too bad that there wasn’t a bit more romance. I definitely think Nyaruko and Mahiro would’ve made a cute couple. Oh well…Read More
It’s nice to see that Haiyore Nyaruko-san, unlike most of the regular shows, is not taking a break. I’m honestly not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing. I could do with a little break from all this weirdness. This episode was no exception, as it was up to the usual standards; completely weird.
It focusses on a lost little girl with her alien butler. See? That’s all I have to say, really. Those who watch this show already know how this goes. That little girl comes in until she gets picked up, gets the attention of Mahiro and the others simply get affected by it in the most ridiculous ways. What else could you expect? Mahiro shows interest in someone, the others get jealous and start to riot like hell. Of course, Nyaruko was right in the middle of it all. She constantly wanted Mahiro’s attention, as is to be expected of her.
However, I have to admit that it wasn’t all Nyaruko’s fault this week. Mahiro was still a bit embarrassed from when Nyaruko kissed him during the last episode. He got red every time she got too close. Now that’s an interesting turn of events, especially since he normally doesn’t see her as wife material. She is an alien, he is an earthling, and you know how it goes. Absolute racism that is!
I’m afraid that next week’s episode will be just as weird, seeing as that little girl has gone missing. I predict yet another jealous-filled episode where Nyaruko tries to get the attention of Mahiro has he does his best for that little girl. I actually feel bad for Hastur and Cthuko, as those two are being completely left out. Hastur has no chance whatsoever though. He just needs to move on to another gay guy.Read More
I can’t believe it. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san just skyrocketed up the weirdness-meter. Imagine someone watching this anime, someone that doesn’t normally watch anime. That individual would never return to the anime scene ever again.
The story continues as Nyaruko finished her confession. Remember; Nyaruko was still inside Mahiro’s body, pretending to be Mahiro. Say whatever you want, but that was a brilliant move by Nyaruko. It all when straight up the weirdness-meter from there on out. I can’t believe I actually watched the entire episode, let alone laughed throughout the entire thing.
I’m slipping, I really am. Normally I never would’ve laughed at this sort of thing. Come on, a show about horny aliens, aliens that want to destroy earth because of the gaming industry and a boy that has won the hearts of several aliens. It has to be those ridiculous parodies, it just has to be. Come on… That magic-cancelling beam scene with all the Yu-Gi-Oh type names seemed like it went on forever.
However, I still don’t think that that was the worst of it. The worst, for me, was when Mahiro’s friend activated that extremist weapon and the extremist leader revealed his identity (technically). Why is it that there are always tentacles involved when it comes to aliens? Those Japanese have some serious issues to work out there, that’s for sure.
I would like to end this post by saying that it wasn’t a bad episode. I know I sound pretty negatively, but I did enjoy it, especially during that kissing scene where Nyaruko took advantage of a grieving Mahiro. It’s just… I’m normally not a big fan of these types of anime. I’m still not completely sure as to why I like this one. There are only two episodes left, and I would be fine if both of them are just as weird as this one, but I think it would be nice to see some more romance. We’ll see…Read More
This may just be the strangest episode yet, and that’s saying something when it’s Haiyore Nyaruko-san that I’m reviewing. This entire anime has been one strange trip of messed up parodies and strange wordplay, but this… This was even weirder.
Allow me to point out that Nyaruko went back to being her old self again. You know, that aggressive and pushy girl? Yeah, that’s her. Well, it’s not like I saw it coming. I don’t think that this anime would be any fun if Nyaruko turned into a shy, obedient and thoughtful girl. I doubt that that would mix well with the show.
We saw some crazy stuff during this episode; a messed up shopping trip, a messed up lunch where Ruuhii appeared as a Mahou Shoujo, and was still normal according to Haiyore Nyaruko-san standards. Everything was progressing pretty smoothly, until one of their classmates showed up with a strange gun that switched Mahiro’s mind into Nyaruko’s body and vice versa. I should’ve seen something like that coming, seriously.
Forget about the first half, that’s no longer important. Let’s focus more on this body switching thing. Nyaruko had the time of her life and Mahiro was in hell, as usual. Frankly, I don’t want to know what Nyaruko did during her time in Mahiro’s body, but I think it’s safe to assume that she familiarized herself with every nook and cranny of his body. The same thing cannot be said about Mahiro, strangely enough. A boy’s mind in a young, beautiful girl’s body would usually mean trouble for the girl. I know I’m just making assumptions here (it’s what I do, you know?), but I also think it’s safe to assume that Mahiro will die a virgin.
This entire episode was just one messed up parade of sexual harassment. Nyaruko was having the time of her life, and so was Cthuko, whom had some access to Nyaruko’s body. Mahiro tried to stop her, sure, but there’s only so much he can do in a body that’s not his own. He ended up creating a contract where Cthuko gets to ‘have’ Nyaruko’s body all for herself if she follows his orders until he has his own body back. Smart thinking, Mahiro.
I think it’s pretty clear from this that the episode was messed up. The ending was brilliant though, absolutely genius. Nyaruko, being inside Mahiro’s body and all, dragged Mahiro infront of the class and confess her love for herself (whilst in his body). I laughed so much that I ended up watching it three times over. I can’t wait to see how this ends.Read More
Why do I feel like I got kicked in my special place after watching this episode? Is it because I was expecting to see a cute Nyaruko? No, that can’t be it. Maybe it’s because I wanted to see something happen between Nyaruko and Mahiro? No… It has got to be the fact that Nyaruko went to her old ways, despite the way the episode actually started.
Nyaruko was finally drawing Mahiro’s attention in a good way, so why did it end up like this? I know that I’m watching one messed up anime, but come on… Don’t do this to me. A game that draws people in, causing them to get stuck until they finish (part of) the game? Wow, Twilight saga flashback. I’m not even sure that it was supposed to be a Twilight parody, but it sure reminded me of Twilight. Of course, the fact that I’m a Twilight saga fan might have something to do with it. Oh, and I want to make it perfectly clear that I mean Twilight the anime, not Twilight the movie trilogy; two supernatural gay guys fighting over a girl to hide their homosexuality. Never!
What did I tell you guys, huh!? I knew that Ruuhii would show up again. Well, at least we didn’t have to deal with that handicapped Charizard. So Ruuhii is a school nurse now, huh? Well played. A bit of school nurse on student action wouldn’t hurt anybody, not that it will actually happen though. Things will just stay the same; Cthuko goes after Nyaruko while Nyaruko and Hastur both go after Mahiro. Never have I seen a lucky guy so unlucky (warning: mindf*ck detected). I seriously doubt that it will end well for him, especially if Hastur ever decides to be as aggressive as Nyaruko.
Basically; the task at hand is for Mahiro to pick a girl (or boy) to fall in love with, pretty much just like in your average dating simulator. He has to clear all flags and finish one (or more) of the game’s stories. Only then can they escape that gaming world. I don’t care whether the idea may be stolen or not, it’s still genius. I guess it’s better to steal something good than to invent something bad.
I honestly have no idea why, but I’m actually looking forward to the next episode. Is it because the ending? They always leave such interesting endings, only to stomp on our expectations during the next episode. My god, the creator behind this is definitely an evil genius. It’s about time that those two had their first kiss. I can’t wait to see what happens next now!Read More
Now that’s just interesting. I thought that I had seen everything, but this episode really surprised me. Some of the things I already foresaw, but others I didn’t. I definitely think that this episode could be a major turning point in the show.
It started out as any other episode; filling with ridiculous comedy and aggressive love. Nyaruko sneaked into Mahiro’s room at night in order to “surprise” him. He was surprised alright, but he didn’t like it one bit. I’m pretty sure he’s not gay, otherwise he would’ve been all over Hastur. It’s a shame that he keeps rejecting Nyaruko like that, it really is. She’s a very cute girl.
It got to a point where Mahiro told Nyaruko that he didn’t like her. That’s when things went south, causing Nyaruko to have a nervous breakdown. She even let herself get manhandled by Cthuko, which is something she would never allow. Still, Mahiro took a wrong approach. You don’t tell a girl you don’t like her. You let her down easy. Tell her you’re seeing someone else, tell her that you need more time, or just tell her you’re gay. That usually finishes things off nicely, even if it’s a lie.
Oh, and what did I tell you guys about Ruuhii? I knew that see would return as one of the regular characters, just like that handicapped Charizard. Right now she’s just a shop owner, next time a teacher, and god only knows what she decided to do after that. Point is; she will probably keep bugging us until the end. Not that I actually mind. MILFS usually spice things up in stories like these.
Anyway, the one thing that surprised me the post was when Nyaruko made that change. She was no longer silly, hyperactive or aggressive. She was quiet, relaxed and pretty gentle. That surprised Mahiro a little, because he thought that she was putting up an act. In the end it turned out that she was pretty serious. Hell, she even confessed to him at the end, which makes waiting for the next episode a whole lot harder. I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but I really want to see the next episode.Read More
Oh for the love of god, why? Why must each and every story turn out so ridiculously dumb? Sure, I still laughed, but things are getting a bit old. I find myself laughing a whole lot less than I did at the beginning. A lot of things are so predictable that you won’t laugh as soon as it happens.
This week’s episode was divided into two parts. Part one covered their journey to retrieve Mahiro’s mother. The woman wasn’t kidnapped at all. She went along with it out of her own free will. It seems that Ruuhii and her company have been working on a next-gen gaming console, so she brought along Mahiro’s mother, a gaming console freak, to look at things and give her opinion. That’s why Cthuko, yet another game freak, went along with it as well. It was a tiresome exchange of bad jokes, followed by a poorly executed finale. Seriously, how could we not see this coming? There hasn’t been a slight hint of danger ever since the anime began.
At least the second part was better. It was predictable as well, but better. I immediately knew that Hastur was going to be one of the regular characters, just like that handicapped Charizard. Ruuhii is too, probably. It’s all just too predictable right now. What kind of person would laugh at something when he or she already knew it was coming? I admit that I laughed during that whole gaming console bit, but I can’t help it. The comedy is so moronic that I just can’t help myself from laughing at one point. I feel so cheap…
And as for the second bit… really? A hot springs trip, huh? How very original. I’m not going to question why Nyaruko wouldn’t let Hastur go with Mahiro, because we all know the answer to that. There’s only one thing that puzzles me; why the hell was that handicapped Charizard wearing a bikini? Why!? I couldn’t help but to laugh at that.
I suppose the episode wasn’t that bad. I had my fair share of laughs, despite being able to predict a lot of things. Take the ending here as an example; everyone knew that Nyaruko was going to make the moves on Mahiro. Oh well, let’s just see what happens during next week’s episode (probably something with Ruuhii again).Read More
Sweet mother of god, what did I just watch? I actually prepared myself mentally because I knew I was going to see some weird stuff, but this changed everything. I even made sure to finish my meal before watching. I refused to make the same mistake as last time.
I think that it has been well established that Mahiro’s mother is a part-time deity hunter. That means that she “hunts” beings like Nyaruko down for some reason. That is fine, but her profession has drawn the attention of some unwanted guests. Ruuhii, a green-haired woman, came to look for Mahiro’s mother and to bring her back to her organization. Everything was progressing pretty smoothly, when suddenly Ruuhii summoned the Delorean from “back to the future” to take them back to her world. That was a total WTF-moment for me. I expected to see a variety of things, but most of them limited to (famous) animated shows. We really can’t underestimate this anime.
And the weirdest part is; that was still normal compared to the rest. I was excited about those Yuri scenes, I was weary of these new Yaoi scenes, but that Pokemon scene really finished things off nicely. As if that handicapped Charizard wasn’t bad enough. Nyaruko used yet another Pokeball to summon an off-read vehicle that could also be used as a submarine. Now that is weird, but the fact that that thing had an unlimited supply of torpedo’s only made things weirder. Still, I somehow got passed that, but watching Nyaruko say that she was holding back really got to me. Boy did I laugh.
This anime is truly troublesome. I actually skip a few parts sometimes, because I forget to pause when I can’t stop laughing. Mind you, finding out that that Hastur stole Mahiro’s first kiss was no laughing matter, even though he did it to save his life. The episodes have slowly been building up on parodies, and each and every one of them has been getting better and better. I have to be careful when watching next week’s episode. Laughing is healthy, but there’s a limit to everything.Read More
