Haiyore! Nyaruko-san episode 04

Okay, this week’s episode wasn’t so bad. I expected to see a lot of disturbing scenes where they made fun of more popular shows, but no… It turned out to be a pretty decent episode. Sure, there were some scenes were both Nyarlko and Cthuko got a little bit overexcited, but nothing out of the ordinary.

So yeah, Mahiro’s mother returned from her honeymoon and found the three of them together on the floor. It wasn’t quite what I had expected, but alright… I’m going with it. She was curious about those two girls, what they were doing there and where they came from. That’s pretty much to be expected. However, things soon got awkward when Mahiro’s mother busted out her gaming collection and started going at it with Cthuko. She has the idea that she is capable of maintaining some of her youth by collecting and playing all sorts of video games and whatnot. I’m sorry, but where the hell could I get a mother like that?

I was really surprised by how well everyone adapted. I would’ve thought that the girls would’ve been on the streets or something. But no, they both stayed. Hell, Mahiro’s mother even adapted to the anime’s handicapped version of Charizard. She found him adorable. I wonder if she will still find that thing adorable when she sees that thing squeeze out a few eggs or transform when you penetrate it’s ass with your finger, not that a normal person would penetrate someone’s pet to watch it transform. The very few people that would should be locked up permanently.

Anyway, I digress. We finally met Hastur during this episode, a boy that looks an awful lot like a girl. I know that a lot of Japanese men could look like cute women with just the right amount of make-up, so that doesn’t surprise me anymore. What surprises me is that this boy might actually be someone important. And it seems that Mahiro’s mother, who happened to return home on the very same day, is quite a popular person, even in outer space.

Oh boy, I’m not going to let my imagination get the best of me this time. I basically think that Mahiro’s mother knows a lot more about “aliens” than we give her credit for, which is probably why she didn’t make a big fuss when she laid eyes on Nyarlko and Cthuko. She must’ve realized the situation. Oh god, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think it’s actually going to get interesting from now on.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san episode 03

Oh good god, the comedy mayhem continues. I cannot believe how popular this anime is getting. Everywhere I look I see people discussing it. I agree when said that the (light) nudity in this show is a bit obvious. But I do think that the panty shots are very subtle. That’s right, this show has some subtlety. It doesn’t have much, but still…

The first thing in this episode that almost made me cough up a lung was that handicapped version of Charizard. I’m sure that most of us know the character Charizard from Pokemon. It seems like that little fella might actually become one of the regular characters. Who would’ve known? I hope he won’t crap out too many eggs though, I don’t think I can handle that. A little handicapped Pokemon trying to squeeze out some eggs is kind of disturbing. Kuuko-chan, who joined their side and is now enrolled in the same class as them, even encouraged that little bastard to push as though it was giving birth. That was really disturbing and hilarious. Not to mention the scene where they tried to penetrate its ass to trigger a weird transformation.

Still, I think this episode revolved a bit around the arrival of Nyarko’s older brother. He was constantly getting hit, blown away or chased. He kept blaming his little sister of all his misfortune, even though she wasn’t doing anything half of the time. I knew immediately that he was a relative of Nyarko, not that they tried to hide it or anything. I do feel that he got defeated a little bit too easily though.

Ugh, I think I made a mistake when I decided to write about this anime. It is really fun to watch, but ever so difficult to write about. It is hard to come up with the right words to describe the ridiculousness in this episode. I think next week’s episode will be real challenging to write about, seeing as Mahiro’s mother has finally returned and all… I (surprisingly enough) can’t wait!

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san episode 02

This is it! It was a difficult decision, but I’ve picked this one. Both Haiyore Nyaruko-san and Nazo no Kanojo x have their good and bad sides, but I just can’t get over those saliva-scenes in Nazo no Kanojo x. They are a little bit gross, even if it’s just anime. Mind you, they seem to focus a great deal on making that glob of spit very visible.

Moving on to the anime at hand… Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, huh? My god, the comedy in this show is completely messed up. It’s even worse because I keep laughing at it, especially during last week’s episode when Nyarlko started that whole pokemon-scene with that horrible imitation. That was hilarious. It’s not like this episode was bad, but it featured a lot of stuff that I didn’t recognize.

Also, the episode was a little bit strange. Nyarlko decided to head out with Mahiro and defeat any and all enemies that would otherwise harm Mahiro. I’m just glad that we finally met Cthuko-chan, a pretty cute character that uses fire and whatnot. It soon turned into a battle of love, using all sorts of gundam-type weaponry. It was absolutely chaos. Hell, Nyarlko even used a move from S-cry-ed at the end of their battle.

You have to wonder why… Why go through all this trouble? The answer was simple, yes, simple and ridiculous. The point of this week’s fight was to make Mahiro star in a boy-love drama as the protagonist. For the love of god, why!? At least come up with a better reason. This was just stupid, and what’s even more stupid is that I almost died laughing. Sigh…

All-in-all a pretty good episode (I cannot believe I actually just typed that). Those One Piece and S-cry-ed references just killed, not to mention those disturbing Yuri-scenes. The rest just so incredibly messed up. Those stupid names, those horribly imitated references, and so much more… It’s terrible, and yet I keep laughing like there’s no tomorrow. That and that alone is the reason why I’ve decided to write about this anime. You simply enjoy it, even if you find it ridiculous. It’s quite impressive when you think about it.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san

Strange, very strange. I know plenty of anime that has perverted boys running around it, but shows like these are rare. It actually has a perverted girl in it, a girl that’s constantly on the lookout to take Mahiro-kun’s, the main character, cherry. What is up with that? It’s not like I’m complaining or anything, but isn’t it usually the other way around? What’s most surprise here is that he himself doesn’t even want it. What the hell…

The artwork is pretty pleasant to watch, although I think they went overboard with Nyarlko, the other main character. It looks like she has this ridiculous antenna on her head, even though it’s this long string of hair. Is that supposed to be the proof of her being an alien? I’m not sure, but I think that it’s just too plain, that haircut I mean.

And the story, well… It’s strange. It’s definitely not unique, but it does seem interesting at first. I it’s because of Nyralko and her personality. You don’t see that every day, which is why some people might become interested in watching this anime. It’s too soon to say anything permanent, but I think it’ll be something amusing.

I suppose there’s no harm in recommending this to those who like to laugh. It has an (un)healthy amount of comedy and romance. I wouldn’t even call it romance. I would rather call it a reverse-rape scenario. Anyway, let’s just see where they’re going with this.

Plot Summary: The story of Haiyore! Nyaruko-san centers around Nyaruko, a formless Cthulhu deity of chaos (Nyarlathotep) who can take on the shape of a seemingly ordinary silver-haired girl. Mahiro Yasaka is a normal high school boy who is chased by aliens one night, until Nyaruko saves him.
