I might as well get this review over with. It’s been a few days since the final episode came out after having waited for it for a few months. At least they have the decency to air a double-length episode to make up for it all.
I’m just going ahead and say what I think; it was kind of disappointing. Why is it so hard to create a decent ending? The protagonist hauled ass to his girlfriend in order to try and stop that vampire and all he got for it was heartache. Yeah, fine, he saved the world and all, but he still lost her in the end. It’s not what I expected at all.
And what were the rest doing? I saw only Klaus fighting seriously. The rest was just following that kid around to make way. No vampires have been fought, only that split personality character. There were supposed to be thousands of them so we were led to believe that a big battle was upon us. Quite a big let-down if you ask me.Read More
Well, I am happy that they didn’t waste an actual episode on those recaps last week, but I feel as though this episode could’ve been like that as well. I’m not saying it was an uninteresting episode, but it was about a character that doesn’t really interest me personally.
More than half of this week’s episode was dedicated to that girl and her brother. We were shown how they grew up, what hardships they faced together and how they came to be the individuals that they are today. That’s all nice, but I feel as though they’ve spent too much time on those two characters this week. Some of it wasn’t even necessary.
Anyhow, the last six or so minutes were really about Leonardo getting his ass handed to him by that blood brood brat. I’m not sure how things will go from here on out, but he needs Leonardo’s eyes to complete whatever ritual he’s trying to complete. Klaus and his men need to show up fast in order to help their friend and save the world once again.Read More
… I do not get this episode at all. Not one bit. Kekkai Sensen is nearing its end as only two episodes remain. So why spend the tenth episode on something like this? It was funny for the first few minutes, but I did not want to watch them go to all those restaurants for 15 minutes.
I honestly don’t know what to say about this episode. What is there to say? They want from restaurant to restaurant in order to find edible food. What was the point of Zapp trying to bully the new guy like that? He was doing himself a mischief as well by denying himself food for the better part of their day… What a pointless episode.
It’s sad that the last couple of minutes were the only part of this episode that was worth watching. It seems that Leonardo is finally about to face that blood breed. It’ll be interesting to see how he’ll deal with that girl as her brother tries to steal his eyes. This should be interesting.Read More
Okay… This new character was not as I had expected. I am aware that Kekkai Sensen has loads of non-human characters. I was just expecting to see yet another human since all of the Libra members seem to be human.
So this new character… It’s a fish-man. I honestly haven’t memorized his name yet, but he looked pretty weird. He’s like the exact opposite of Zapp. Zapp’s a scrawny idiot that acts before he thinks. He’s childish, unmotivated and rarely seems to take things serious. Sure, he’s there when it counts and always seems to get the job done, but then we meet this other students, a fish-man. This bigger, bluer version of Zapp seems a lot more serious. They have the same fighting style, so I’m kind of hoping that the two will end up competing amongst each other so that both of them can become better. Isn’t that how that usually goes?
Anyway, that master left fish-man with Libra. He is their latest member and will help them in their fight against the blood breeds. Nothing special. We all saw that one coming. Why else would he summon his other student when he could’ve easily taken out that blood breed himself? So yeah, stop watching if you were surprised by that.
I’m more interesting in finding out how the blood breeds plan to get a hold of Leonardo and his all-seeing eyes. They want those eyes for obvious reason, but getting them will be quite challenging when he has Libra to protect him. But hey, if Leonardo was right and there really are thousands of them then even Libra can’t protect him for long. This should be interesting… That girl will probably end up being his ultimate flaw.Read More
Okay, I’m not even going to bother focussing on Zapp’s interest in some Burger King-wannabe employee. It’s just not really worth my time since that guy messed around all the time. I have yet to see him serious about anything.
But hey, that’s Zapp. I already thought that there was nothing interesting about Zapp or anything that even remotely relates to him. Yeah, I thought that, but then this awesome character shows up out of nowhere and starts hauling so much ass that he’s instantly tied with Klaus for my number one favourite character spot on this show. Seriously, this dude was so strange and yet so freakishly awesome that I couldn’t keep my eyes away from him. He looks weird, he talks weird and he fights like a true champ. Who knew that Zapp, a childish boar of a man, had a master like that? Shocking.
So this character whose name I failed to catch was fighting head to head with one of those blood breeds and defeated him without breaking a sweat. Sure, this particular blood breed may not have been “complete” during that time, but it doesn’t make that old guy any less amazing. He ‘pwned’ that blood breed and still managed to find time to put his disciple to the test.
Yeah, I definitely want to see more of that guy. I also don’t mind seeing a bit of that knew character that he was talking about. Apparently there’s another Zapp somewhere. What a dreadful thought. But hey, I’m liking this whole “Blood Dipper Style”. I could definitely do with a bit more of that, so go ahead and bring out that character.Read More
Oh man… I am going to start another rant again. I can feel it. Don’t you just want to smash the protagonist’s face in sometimes? Honestly. It’s a damn shame that it’s 2D, because if this was real then I would’ve risked jail time to punch that idiot.
Leonardo went out with that girl’s brother. He learned that she has a heart condition and that taking her out to see a movie may not have been a smart move, especially if something had happened. But hey, he didn’t know. He also doesn’t know that her brother, a blonde kid with glasses, is probably one of the most dangerous guys out there, which brings me to the following point; Leonardo really is an idiot. He talks openly with everyone and he goes along with everything. It’s like he trusts everyone after just one short conversation. He is so gullible that he’s bound to screw up big-time sooner or later.
And that kid? He’s probably the vampire overlord or something. He sure seemed important when he dropped the charade. Does that mean that the girl is a vampire too? Or was the boy turned? Was his body invaded somehow? All questions that will hopefully be answered soon when a war between vampires and everything else breaks out.
Who will win? If Leonardo is correct about there being thousands of them then I assume, based on what I’ve seen so far, that those creatures will win. Of course, Kekkai Sensen loves to introduce new characters, so there’s that possibility of a huge load of new powerhouses showing up during the next few episodes. We’ll just have to wait and see.Read More
Now this was something worth remembering. I especially liked this episode because it got to me, you know? I always like feel-good moments. This episode definitely contained quite a few of those moments.
The episode started out like any other; some unknown characters show up and haul ass all over the place. This time some little creature ended up getting hit by a truck. Yeah, he survived and seemed completely unharmed, seeing as he immediately started begging for hamburgers (he must be American). It makes you wonder what the hell is going on when something like that happens right in front of your eyes. I mean, that little guy got hit by a speeding truck and the driver had the nerve to go nuts even though he was in the wrong. That’s insane.
But hey, Leonardo got attached when he found out that those very drivers were scamming that little guy by making him pay three or four times extra for his burgers because non-humans usually don’t get served. That pretty much started off their entire friendship. And what a bizarre friendship that turned out to be.
It seems that Leonardo’s new friend has the ability to release spores that will cause every living creature that breathes that stuff in to forget what ever happened during the last twelve hours or so. Not at all surprise when those 2 monsters wanted to abuse that ability, but it was kind of heart-breaking to see why that little guy cannot remember his mother. What a champ!Read More
Yeah, this is probably going to continue till the end of the show. Episode after episode we meet a new character. Whether that character is bad or good is of no importance. Fact is; we seem to be stuck inside a loop if you ask me.
Mind you, I like this new character. Not that insane little girl that wants to create the perfect criminal; a good-looking guy with the personality of a monster that would make jack the ripper seem like a harmless child that’s looking for attention. Did she succeed? I don’t know. In the end she ended up creating the character that might just end up becoming my favourite. In fact, they are kind of two characters in one. They work together and live together in the same body, seeing as that guy’s blood used to be a separate entity before he became part of that strange, gay-looking dude.
I simply like that guy’s ability. He can transform and use that blood, the other guy, as a weapon, a shield or pretty much anything they can think of. Sure, they have limits, but that power has a lot more possibilities as you can use it in any number of ways. They could create almost anything if there’s enough blood to go around, in theory.
I’m pretty sure that next week we’ll meet a new character. We’ll also get to see how our all-seeing idiot finds new ways to get himself a girlfriend, which is something that I actually enjoy watching. Why not add a little bit or romance to an otherwise dull story? I’m actually looking forward to seeing more of that.Read More
