Huh!? I thought I had written this post already? Oh well. It’s not that good an ending anyway. This season was definitely amusing, but by no means was it better than the first one.
I’ll get straight to the point as I have yet another post to write. I don’t like that it all ended with Yato’s father winning once again. He used Yato and Ebisu to obtain that brush and he succeeded in the end. Yato failed to save Ebisu and so he was reborn again. That god will have to re-learn everything again and he’ll probably just end up getting used again.
Sure, Yato finally managed to move on by revoking that Nora’s name, but it doesn’t solve anything. She’ll definitely keep trying even if she’s no longer Yato’s Regalia. I like that he finally made up his mind, but I hate that he still doesn’t have the backbone to finish it once and for all. Just kill that evil Regalia already and be free. A mediocre ending if you ask me…Read More
I still stand by what I’ve said before. The first season was better and more interesting than this one. But hey, this episode was actually better than the last few. It was actually quite good and I can only hope that the next one will be even better.
I’ll admit that I’m quite interested in the ending. It does look very promising after seeing this episode and I think that an epic battle awaits us. I also loved the fact that Yato, which turned out to be a name that he gave himself instead of it being his actual name, left his evil old Regalia in the underworld when he was called back up. The look on that Regalia’s face was absolutely price and I re-watched that scene about three times before I could finally continue with the rest of the episode. One can only hope that she’ll stay there for all eternity, but we all know that she’ll return like a bad case of herpes.
I’m also pretty glad that Ebisu, one of the gods of fortune, found his way. I find the whole concept of known gods being able to reincarnate quite interesting since they tend to be pretty mellow when it comes to dying. They know that they’re just going to be reborn again. For gods like Yato that’s entirely different. That is why I’m quite interested in knowing what the heavens have in store for him.
Will the heavens get him? I don’t know. That’s very good. I would’ve hated it if it was actually so obvious that I already knew what to expect. I’m guessing he’ll survive somehow thanks to Yato and maybe that other god of fortune showing up at the last second. Finally… An episode that really makes me want to watch the next one as soon as possible.Read More
Now this episode was somewhat satisfying. Better than the last ones, that’s for sure. It’s a damn shame I have to keep it short. I had to go to work today and I just arrived a few hours ago. I just want to take a shower and dive straight into bed.
I hate that Yato still hasn’t let go of his past. He is still a puppet of both his ‘father’ and his old Regalia. This’ll keep happening over and over if he doesn’t change soon. But hey, at least he made new friends since Yukine showed up. Even Bishamon decided to help him out by going to the underworld to get him out of there.
And Yukine? He practically wrecked that insane Regalia that Bishamon let go. That may have been her biggest mistake yet. That guy roams the world and will undoubtedly do anything to gain more and more power in order to get back at Yato and Bishamon. He’ll only be a pain in the ass just like Yato’s old Regalia. Honestly, grow a pair and kill those two already.Read More
I am pained since there was no new Heavy Object this week, but at least there was a tiny bit of progress in Noragami this week. Only a tiny bit though. I’m not going to celebrate just yet, but the next episode seems very promising.
Not only did that Ebisu character seem like a good guy after all, even though his methods are questionable, but now it seems as though Yato actually wants to support him instead of just finishing a job that his ‘father’ gave him. Yeah, the guy is still not free and he may have gotten left behind in that underworld, but hey… progress is still progress.
What I’m more interested in is the idea of war against the heavens. That god of fortune was so cool that he is on the fast track to becoming my Noragami character. He doesn’t care about the ‘heavens’ or their will. He has ideals of his own and he wants to talk to his friend before he gets captured and killed. That’s a very cool character.Read More
I honestly don’t even want to write this post. It’s like I’m watching a filler. Slow progress in a story is one thing, but now we actually seem to be regressing. I am truly disappointed by how this is going right now. This better end soon…
Yato is still being controlled by his ‘father’ and that former Regalia of his. I hate it. He is once again being forced to do all their dirty work and all I can do is ask myself why. He is plenty powerful on his own. He can just ‘release’ that Regalia and be done with it. She, apparently, has plenty of other masteries anyway so it doesn’t matter.
What also pisses me off is that Yato knew that Ebisu is behind those masked phantoms and he still helped him. That’s just nuts. He finally became an actual god with some new privileges and now look at what he’s doing; he’s helping a corrupted god that’s wanted by all the other gods. I think it’s time to cash in some favours because he really needs help… Please just kill that Regalia already!
And I absolutely hate the fact that Hiyori has once again lost her memories and that she’s actually kissing other guys now. It just makes me want to stop watching.Read More
This episode pissed me off to no end. It almost feels as though we are back to square one. I thought that we would dive in Yato’s past and learn a bit more about him, but no… We went back in an entirely different way.
Yato has come so far. He’s survived longer than anyone could’ve guessed and he’s even obtained a licensed shrine that allows him to attend godly meetings and whatnot. Things were going so well until that old Regalia of his decided to show her face again. That’s one thing, but now he’s actually back to being that old fearsome god that kills first and asks questions later (or not at all).
We have been following him for two seasons now and there has been some remarkable progress. To see him regress like this is just a complete pain. We know there’s not going to be a plot twist since we all already know what’s going on to a degree. All that’s left is for him to snap out of it, kill that Regalia and take care of that corrupted god.Read More
Okay, well, this was…. Weird. I expected a lot of things to happen during this week’s episode, but this was definitely not one of those things. I want to go watch the Ant-Man movie since I’ve been putting that on hold for some time now, so I’ll keep it simple.
I was aware that little Yukine became a blessed regalia for Yato’s sake. I did not expect another, richer god to show up in order to try and buy Yukine from Yato so that Yato could get a shrine of his own. I’ll be honest; I thought that Yato would’ve grabbed the opportunity to get his own shrine after all that’s happened to him.
I’m not going to say that I think that god is the one behind all the attacks. I know that Nora, Yato’s old regalia, was the biggest evildoer. Nothing will change for as long as she lives. But now it seems that there’s a good chance that a god may be on her side. He may even be working with her. I guess our final bad guy for this season has appeared.Read More
What a huge disappointment this episode turned out to be. You expect a big ending before they start the final half of the season, but this was just way below my expectations. I even dare say that it was quite aggravating to watch.
The cat’s pretty much out of the bag. Bishamon’s eyes have been opened to the truth and what does she do? Wrong. She lets the culprit, her insane regalia, go without punishing him. In her mind that counts as punishment for killing most of her ‘family’. At this point I start to think that it might’ve been better if Yato had killed her so that a new one could’ve been born.
And now? Bishamon will continue to go on killing all evil with whatever regalia she has got left? Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if she started to expand again next week. I wouldn’t put it passed her to make the same mistake over and over again. I just hope that Yato is finally going to put an end to the meddling of his former regalia.Read More
