OniAi episode 04

Why do I get the feeling that this isn’t going anywhere? We’ve reached the fourth episode, and yet I still don’t know what the point of it all is. Sure, Akiko wants to rape (or get raped by) Akito, her beloved brother. But that can’t be it, can it? It’s like we’re stuck in this unholy loop of messed up romance.

It’s pretty much the same, really. Akito, being the kind of guy he is, wants to help out his friends. Unfortunately, his friends look at him and see more than just a young landlord. They see a partner. They see someone that’s easily fooled. That is probably how it all happened; it started with silly, perverse jokes, but they all ended up falling in love with him.

Last week was Anastasia’s turn, the week before that was Akiko’s turn, this week was Ginbei’s turn and I’m sure that it’s Arashi’s turn next week. I’m looking forward to that, despite all the things I’ve said so far. I find Arashi to be a fascinating character. She always cracks me up.

Anyway, Ginbei-chan got put in the spotlight this week. Ginbei, now known as the fair skinned maiden of the house, got put in a lot of difficult positions. She even ended up being seen naked by Akiko. One can only imagine how well that guy must’ve slept that night.

I’ll leave it at that. We’ve passed episode four, yet the story has yet to begin. There are still a few more characters that have yet to be introduced. It is still far from over, that’s for sure.

OniAi episode 03

Oh boy, and so it begins… The unholy harem that involves Akito and pretty much any girl he comes in contact with. It’s not as fast paced as I had imagined. Things have only just begun, I know that, but there hasn’t been much progress, until now.

This week’s episode focussed on Anastasia and so shall I. Anastasia is not our typical high school girl. She’s very shy and straightforward. She sees something she likes? She must have it! That’s what brings us to the following; Anastasia finally made Akito her next target. It started out pretty innocent with a lot of jokes and uncomfortable advances. But now, now that she’s realized her feelings for him, she will be throwing herself at him, probably. It’ll be pretty interesting to see if Akito will be able to recognize her feelings before things get out of hand (probably not).

Also, the comedy was superb. I loved Akiko’s reaction when Anastasia started talking to her brother during their lunch break. I just finished eating, so all the laughing kind of gave me great stomach pains. Oh well, it was a sacrifice that I was more than willing to make at the time. Hell, I would make it even now.

Let’s just end things here. The episode was good and I have said what I wanted to say. The only thing I want to change was the pace. I don’t think it would do the show any bad if the female characters were a bit more aggressive.

OniAi episode 02

Okay, I have decided to write about OniAi! I wasn’t entirely sure at first. The female characters are too aggressive at times. It’s unusual, because it’s the protagonist that normally takes the lead in this sort of thing. Either way, I definitely like the way things are going with this right now.

Frankly, I’m still waiting for Akito to man up. He’s letting himself be controlled by those girls, especially by his sister, Akiko. In fact, she is messing with him so much that he doesn’t even get the chance to make friends. The friends he does make are being chased away by her constant meddling. Being a cute, pushy little sister with a crush is one thing, but this is starting to get out of hand…

Sadly, it’s not just his sister either. He has half a dozen girls after him. That guy is both lucky and unlucky. My favourite right now is Arashi. I like that character’s persona and appearance. She always manages to make me laugh in the strangest of situations. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m really looking forward to the next episode!

Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne

What in the unholy world did I just see? I know it had to happen eventually, but I wasn’t prepared yet. I suppose you could compare this anime with Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru!, another anime where the protagonist’s sister tried to do all sorts of things with him, but this is just a bit more ecchi than that.

The artwork is pretty good, but absolutely nothing to brag about. Some might even call it a bit plain. It’s just your average artwork style with a lot fewer panty shots than regular ecchi anime, and there’s a bit of harem mixed in too, so there were enough opportunities for panty shots.

The story is pretty interested. Yes, interesting but absolutely not original. It is so cliché; one’s little sister returns from god only knows where after so many years, moves in with her brother and soon after all sorts of things occur. It’s a milked out concept…

I can only recommend this to people that, like me, enjoy watching ecchi-genre anime. The people that like serious, original stories probably wouldn’t like this.

Plot Summary: Himenokouji twins Akito and Akiko have finally reunited with each other after separation due to the death of their parents. After six years of living apart they suddenly began to live under the same roof due to Akito’s desire to live as a family unit once more. Things were fine at first until Akiko began to express her incestuous love for her older brother, who only sees her as a little sister.
