… Well, this was a rather disappointing ending. It had a great start and a whole lot of wonderful episodes, but compared to those this ending just seems weak. There were some touching moments alright, but not enough to call it an amazing ending.
They continued this jealousy nonsense right up until the end. That guy ended up winning that contest and he confessed to Rinko. Yeah, she chose Takeo as we all already expected, but after that it kind of stagnated. It was touching, but it took too long. The episode practically over by that point and we didn’t have much time for anything else.
We still know very little about Rinko and her situation. We actually know very little about a lot of things. We only know about Takeo is his best friend. That would’ve been fine if the show itself didn’t end like this. That’s why I find the ending rather disappointing. Either I just set the bar too damn high or the final episode really was weak.Read More
I can only be blunt right now so please let me be blunt. I do not care for this episode. Not one bit. I feel as though it contributes nothing to the story and that it would’ve been better if this episode didn’t even air in the first place.
There’s really not a lot to say about this episode. Rinko simply gets a part-time job at a bakery, she meets new people, one of which has a crush on her, and that all just results in Takeo being insecure over nothing. That’s pretty much the whole episodes. What disappoints me is that I thought that we were already past this point. It feels as though we’ve taken a few steps back.
I also have to accept the obvious that the one episode I’ve been waiting for wont come. I will never get to see Takeo meet Rinko’s parents by the looks of it. I hate that. Still, it was a very pleasant journey overall and I am glad that I chose this show to write about. I just hope that they will give it a strong ending instead of one of those cliché kiss endings that we’ve already seen a few weeks ago. I just hope this whole jealousy thing won’t go on for too long next week.Read More
This episode was kind of depressing. There was very little to no progress and I still don’t know how the hell they are planning to end this. The one episode that I have been waiting for still hasn’t arrived and now I’ve run out of motivation to write a full post.
It’s okay though. There’s very little that I want to say about this episode. It was rather dull, you see. We have this girl that looks and dresses like a granny and she thought that she had a shot at bagging the hottest guy of the school. I’ll admit that it’s not all about looks, but come on. She has been stalking him for far too long. Just end it.
I don’t know whether we’ll see more of her or not at this point, but I am still waiting for a good ending. Is it so bad to learn a bit more about Rinko? We’ve learned a lot about Takeo and his best friend during the past few months, but we know very little about Rinko. What’s her family like? What secrets does she have? We just know way too little.Read More
Okay, now this I don’t mind. Ore Monogatari just got a little bit more interesting. It’s just a damn shame that it took so long. There are only three episodes left and although I am happy by what I’m seeing so far, I still want to see that one episode…
But yeah, I’m happy. Makoto has been helping Takeo all this time. He gave him advice, stuck around when he needed to and more. It is very rewarding to see him finally get interested in a girl himself. Well, kind of. I mean, that girl, a grey-haired girl with glasses, has been stalking him for years, which is kind of creepy, and she finally, thanks to Takeo, managed to muster the courage to confess to Makoto and ask him out on a date. So what if Takeo and his girlfriend are going? It’s still a double date. Makoto is finally making a little progress, even if he can get better.
There. I said it. I think Makoto can get better. Am I happy that he’s about to go on a date with a grey-haired girl with glasses that has been stalking him all this time? Not really. I’m just happy that he’s finally moving forward and that he’s giving dating a fair chance. He has rejected every one so far. Hopefully this will motivate him.
The next episode can be dedicated to their date. I am fine with that. But I still want to see that one episode where Takeo meets Rinko’s parents. I think it’s highly unfitting that the show should end without Takeo having met Rinko’s parents. I mean, Rinko’s practically part of the Gouda family already in the eyes of Takeo’s parents. Now it’s Rinko’s turn.Read More
This episode just caused me to ask myself one question. What now? What can I expect from Ore Monogatari now? It just seems like things have gone nowhere ever since Takeo and Rinko kissed. I have no idea what I can expect anymore.
We’ve gone through everything. Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and various other holidays and events. So much has happened that I’m now starting to question how this will end. Not only that; I am also starting to wonder whether I ever get to see Takeo meet Rinko’s parents. It’s just weird. We went from meeting Rinko to dating to holding hands to kissing and now things just seem to be stagnating. It’s great that Takeo has a baby sister now, but don’t focus too much on that. Focus on the romance. Focus on Takeo and Rinko.
At first I thought that Takeo’s new baby sister would open new doors. I thought that Rinko would come over more often and that it would lead to progress. It hasn’t. Things have pretty much stayed the same if anything. I find that very disappointing since we’re nearing the end. I really hope that next week’s episode will give us an idea on how they plan to end this show.
Was this episode good? Sure. A bit lengthy even though it was Valentine’s Day, but I suppose it was amusing. It was funny to see Takeo sweat. It’s just a damn shame that his best friend still hasn’t found anyone after all this time. His friends are all hooking up but he remains alone. I still cannot help but fele that he deserves better.Read More
It’s about time! This may not have been the episode that I have been waiting for all this time, but it was pretty darn good. I loved it. I’ll admit that there wasn’t really any progress between the show’s two biggest characters, but that’s fine for now.
So Takeo’s mother was having a tough time. We learned about her past and how she met up with his father, how they fell in love and how they chose to live their lives. It’s all very touching to see. It is no wonder that Takeo grew up to have such a kind personality. His mother made sure that he grew up to become a model citizen. I mean, the woman’s pregnant and still she’s putting her well-being on the line to help others. What does that tell you? She’s so kind that it’s almost as though she’s got a lot of mental problems or something.
So Takeo has a baby sister now. I’m glad. The age different between him and his new sister is quite great, but I’m sure, because he is who he is, that it’ll work out perfectly. He’s a responsible character that’ll undoubtedly help out around the house. I’m just looking forward to see how many new possibilities there now that he has a sister.
I’m pretty sure that Rinko will be showing up a lot more often. She finds that baby adorable and I’m pretty sure she’ll drop by more often to help out any way she can. Still, that does not stop me from hoping that I’ll see that one episode where Takeo meets Rinko’s parents. I just want to see that episode so badly.Read More
My god, it’s about damn time. I’m sure it’s safe to say that fans all over the world have been waiting seventeen weeks for this episode. I’ll admit that I was starting to doubt Ore Monogatari’s story, but that doubts has completely disappeared now. Thank you!
It’s sad that I have to say this; I hate how Takeo and Rinko kissed. Rather, I kind of hate why. Their friends only started their relationship and they already kissed. They, Takeo and Rinko, were surprised by this and felt that they were moving a little too slow. It’s almost as though they were pressured into it, making it a little less special and romantic. Even I must admit that it took them a long time to finally get to this point, but to get there because others got there before you is kind of… stupid? I just hope that they continue to move forward after this instead of imitating their friends.
And yeah, the episode I’m still waiting for is the one where Takeo meets Rinko’s parents. I’ve said it during every single post for the last few weeks I think, but I cannot help it. I just want to see that episode so badly that it’s making me sweat. I’m a sweaty, smelly nerd that’s impatiently waiting for that one episode. May god have mercy on their souls if that episode never comes.
Oh, and one last thing; when will Takeo’s best friend finally get a girlfriend? I am kind of starting to feel bad for him. He’s a good guy and very good looking. Is there really no boy or girl that he likes? He has selflessly been helping Takeo so much that I’m slowly staring to root for him instead of Takeo. He just seems a little lonely sometimes, I guess?Read More
This episode was refreshing! I like Takeo and Rinko and all, but I could’ve done with a new couple. That’s why I am pretty happy with this episode. It might also be the one thing that was needed to boost their relationship to a new level.
So afro-kun had a crush on one of Rinko’s girlfriends. Well, that was bound to happen. You invite a group of horny teenage boys to go out and play with a group of inexperience teenage girls and what do you get? All sorts of possibilities arise. One of them was the possibility of another couple joining the big picture. Afro-kun, being an idiot, didn’t really do it properly, but he did eventually manage to get the girl he liked. In fact, their relationship is going so fast that they’re already doing better than Takeo and Rinko, which, in my opinion at least, is a bit of a slap in the face.
I believe that this could be the boost that those two needed. Rinko now knows that her friend has already gone further with her boyfriend than she has with Takeo. This should inspire her to do better and perhaps be a little more aggressive. Nothing wrong with stealing a kiss. We’re at the seventeenth episode; I’m done with just holding hands.
I think Rinko has a fair chance. She is bolder than people give her credit for. The problem is Takeo. He still sees Rinko has a pure girl that wouldn’t want to do those things, so he definitely won’t be the one to make the first move. I’m putting all my money on Rinko. I just hope it happens soon. I don’t want to see their first kiss during the last episode. That would be such a boring cliché.Read More
