Ao Haru Ride episode 10
Wow. Why did I think of Natsuyuki Rendezvous? I remember loving that show to death. Waiting every single week for a new episode was very hard. And that horrible ending disappointed me so much that I lost faith in Japanese endings. Ao Haru Ride won’t be any different. I can tell.
I was not very hopeful. I knew what to expect. Futaba is a pretty jealous girl, so when she saw Yuuri and Kou exit that room together and refused to tell her what they did there, I immediately knew that Futaba would not leave it alone until she found out why. She has used sad, obvious excuses before to get what she wanted. This this was no exception. She used like half a dozen bad excuses to gain access to Kou’s house in order to squeeze out a little bit of info on what happened between those two, only to discover that part of that room has been dedicated to Kou’s deceased mother. Yeah, good going, Futaba.
I even hate myself for actually getting a little hopeful when Kou held Futaba like that. “Here it finally comes” I said to myself, when suddenly Kou’s older brother showed up to ruin everything. Seriously, he ruined everything. The moment was perfect, the position was perfect and the timing was perfect. I hate myself for that.
I swear, I will never get my hopes up like that again. Ao Haru Ride just keeps shooting it all down. No wonder the manga is so popular amongst girls. They build up so freakin’ much that it makes me want to hit someone. I imagine that girls love this kind of let’s-wait-so-it-becomes-a-lot-more-special crap. The only thing that can make it special is if you obey your partner’s every command (and vice versa from time to time to be fair).
