Aquarion Evol

Okay, so I just finished watching the first episode, and I’m kind of confused. It was a very big episode (forty minutes) so I thought that it would be very explanatory, but that was not the case. I tried to follow the story to the best of my abilities, but there were one or two things that I just couldn’t understand.

The artwork looks very decent, I especially like the eyes. The robots, if that’s even an accurate description, look pretty good too. They look very good, unique and it shows just how creative those artists can be. It’s sort of like a Gundam, Linebarrel of Iron and Heroic Age mixture.

But I’m not too sure about the story. It’s very complex, farfetched and somewhat sexist. I’m not sure I heard correctly, but it sounded very sexist to me.  Also, I believe this is a sequel, so maybe that’s why I’m a little puzzled right now, as I haven’t seen the prequel. I’m not sure if I’m going to watch the prequel or not, I believe that every season should be somewhat explanatory.

Anyway, Sci-Fi fans must be ecstatic right about now. There are a lot of Sci-Fi shows going around now; I never knew that there was such a high demand for that? I recommend this so to all Sci-Fi fans, people who love lengthy and complex stories and Mecha fans. Enjoy!

DAEVA the Aquaria Academy exists to train men and women to use Aquaria, but they cannot ever merge because of Guize stones., these block an “unholy union” The story follows Amata and Mikono in their unknowing enrollment into DAEVA, and fight the Abductors.

  1. Old Aquarion Fans =D says:

Indeed you have to watch the 1st Series first before you watch this sequel; as an old fan of Aquarion, this is a good start

  2. SKATEskum says:

I’m almost finished but im wondering if there will be more.

  3. Ok, so I’ve watched the original series, “Genisis of Aquarion”, and am up to date with the most recent series “Aquarion EVOL”, (not including OVAs). I’ve heard recently, though, that there is also a manga forthe series as well. I have looked it up and all I have found is one chapter of a series called “Sousei no Aquarion: Mirai Shinwa”, and it hasn’t been updated in over 2 years…

  4. Is Aquarion Evol a sequal to the first Aquarion? Because it doesn’t say anything about it being a sequal or a prequel on Anime News Network.
