Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova
I honestly don’t know where to start with this one. I enjoyed the first episode, which is something I cannot deny, but how about the rest of the eleven episodes? Are they going to be enjoyable? I seriously have my doubts about this one.
The artwork is okay. They really didn’t focus on the details and I think they’re too fanatical about all that magic nonsense. I mean, there are magic circles and symbols in practically every scene. What’s up with that?
Also, I’m not entirely sure if a story about a part girl part weapon is going to be interesting for twelve whole episodes. It would’ve been fine if it was slightly different, but the girl is supposedly some kind of alien submarine that was ordered to follow a specific character. Interesting? Sure. But I don’t know if it’s going to be worth watching for twelve weeks.
I cannot recommend this to everyone. Sci-fi fans might enjoy this, but it’s too much of a mystery to recommend. I have no idea what I can expect from this show. It’s too vague.
Plot Summary: In the story, a Fleet of Fog loaded with super weapons suddenly appear all over the world. Together with Iona, they take on the Fleet of Fog.
