Bakuman 2 episode 14

I wanted to have this post done today, especially after I managed to recover one of my newer backups, allowing me to restore hundreds of posts and comments from November and December. Needless to say; I’m very happy right now. My bad luck streak seems to have ended!

Yes, my bad luck streak has apparently ended, but I think Akito’s is just beginning. He found out that Kaya is avoiding him because he met up with that woman. She was under the impression that he’s cheating on her, which is why she doesn’t want him to explain. I can’t entirely blame her, but women do overreact sometimes. Just give the guy a break and a five-minute window to explain the situation. If you don’t like the explanation, fine, just break up.

It’s very hard to wrestle with personal issues while working, but the boys really didn’t have much choice. They did their best to improve their latest creation, a gag manga, in order to become number one in NEXT.

Meanwhile it seems that Yuriko, one of the girls that Akito has been seeing, has used the personal lives of Moritaka, Akito himself, Takuro and probably many more, to inspire and fuel her new manga. I’m not sure that’s even legal, but how are those idiots going to prove that she created the story based on their lives? Frankly, I don’t think anyone possibly could.

Life goes on in Bakuman. Kazuya is still getting tricked by his editor, Takuro is still just an assistant, Shoyo is still being serialized, loudmouth Shinta is still as devoted as ever and, to top it all off, Eiji-kun is still disappointed in the path that Moritaka and Akito decided to take. He believes that their true talent lies within a serious story, backed up by Moritaka’s artwork. Still, the boys have decided to go with a gag manga. They could always try again if they should fail.

The story just keeps getting better and better, I absolutely love it! It’s comes as no surprise to me that Bakuman’s third season has already been green-lit. I can’t wait!
