Bakuman 3 episode 03
Ahhh~ I wish I could just watch the entire season in just one go, instead of having to wait week after week. Anyhow, I’m running out of time so I have to keep this post as short as I can. That probably means that I won’t be able to share each and every one of my opinions (not that they actually matter).
First of all; I like the fact that Moritaka and Akito decided to make drastic changes to their latest project, Perfect Crime Party. Their manga had gotten dull and boring. Basically; it wasn’t going anywhere. So, after having considered a lot of other methods, they have decided to come up with story after story. The plain was to start and finish each and every one of those stories within five chapters.
Now, it’s a bold move. A lot of people, like myself, aren’t too fond of manga where the stories ‘restarts’ after five chapters. I like the type of manga with a great, complicated and interesting story that will build-up to something amazing. Reading several short stories just isn’t my thing, unfortunately.
But anyway, that’s what they’ve decided. They tried their old ways. They tried to improve the story and artwork. But no, their position in the ratings just kept getting worse with each passing week. It reminded me of a famous quote; “desperate times call of desperate measures”, a quote that has been inspiring the human race since roughly 1964.
There’s only one real thing that I would like to see, and that is to see those two struggle just a bit more. I know, I know… that sounds rather strange, especially coming from me. But… it cannot be helped. Sometimes, although not often, it seems as though they have it too easy. It would be nice to see them struggle for a bit, find the means to work even harder, just so that they prevail at the end. That’s how it should be.
