Bakuman 3 episode 04
Now this is more like it! Moritaka and Akito finally got the hang of it. They sacrificed a lot of time, a lot of votes and a lot material to initiate their new idea. It was a big risk, but it paid off in the end and that is all that really matters.
Their manga, Perfect Crime Party (PCP), defeated Natural+ once more. This means that their manga is here to stay, as was the agreement. They had to defeat either one of Eiji’s works in order to keep their serialization. Sure, they made it in the nick of time, but they made it nonetheless. They even got themselves a drama CD with Miho-chan as one of the voice actresses (providing all goes well). It was pretty heart-warming to see Miho-chan so happy. It must have renewed her faith in Moritaka’s abilities as an artist.
This is where normal people would start to think that something’s wrong. It all seems to be going too well for them. Their manga made it, they got a drama CD and even their assistants are starting works of their own. That is when they were hit with the mother of all bad news; their manga will probably never get animated. It seems that a lot of people are complaining about their manga, saying that the children are imitating the pranks in their manga. That is probably why a Perfect Crime Party anime will never arrive. Kids are already imitating the pranks in their manga. That would only escalate if their manga were to get animated.
Moritaka is determined to find a loophole in all of this. His current manga won’t cut it as an anime. That’s fine, I suppose. He decided, just like Eiji, to create a new manga. He, too, wants to run two manga’s at the same time. It’s safe to say that this will cause for a lot more problems with the editorial department. Eiji has always been an exception with everything. They won’t be given a second slot so easily, that’s for sure. They will have to prove to everyone that they are capable of creating two manga’s at the same time. But that’s still in the future. Akito will first help out one of his assistants until he can do it on his own.
