Barakamon episode 04
Another chaotic and ridiculous Barakamon episode, awesome! It is, you know? It really is ridiculous. It’s no wonder that country bumpkins usually live to be a hundred. They stay in shape, live very simple lives and seem to be having far more fun that people in modern cities. Why is that anyway?
This episode shows that clearly. Seishuu found himself unable to function properly without his computer or mobile phone. He couldn’t work or relax without either one of them. This in itself is a problem, but it becomes so much worse when I recognize myself in it. I am always looking at some kind of screen. It’s my work, it’s my hobby… How could I not?
Ignoring the fact that I’m seriously considering to take a trip to some random bumpkin village, I think Seishuu is lucky. He has a lot of people there that will take his mind of things and support him in any way they can. He screws up, finds it hard to adept to local life and has trouble answering the simplest of questions because he feels pressured. His old man sent him to the perfect place.
This week he got to write on a boat. It turned out expectedly horrible, but the owner, the father one of the three female demons, seemed to like it in the end because everyone was involved somehow. It was something that other boat owners didn’t have. It kind of bothers me that he seemed genuinely happy with it. A part of me thinks he was just pretending to be happy to give Seishuu a break and because his daughter was standing next to him. That’s why I wouldn’t be surprised to find a repainted boat during the next few episodes.
