Amazing stuff! Absolutely delightful. I am already considering writing about this. I am not at all ashamed to say that I watched the first episode twice on the same day. I loved it. Why haven’t I heard about this before?

BarakamonThe artwork is really nice. It’s quite detailed and I absolutely love Naru, one of the main characters. She is adorable and always managed to make me laugh. I expect great things from her. If only all anime looked like this…

The story is pretty good, too. Some cocky guy punches a snobby critic and gets sent to some faraway island by his father in order to mature a bit. There he meets a little country girl that will turn his world upside down. How freakishly interesting is that!?

I most certainly recommend this to all. It’s funny, it’s interesting and it shows a great deal of promise. It reminded me a bit of Usagi Drop, another golden anime that I’m really fond of. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Plot Summary: As a punishment for punching a famous Calligrapher, young handsome Calligrapher Handa Seishu is exiled on a small island. As someone who has never lived outside of a city, Handa has to adapt to his new wacky neighbors, like people traveling on a tractor, unwanted visitors who never use the front door, annoying kids using his home as a playground, etc. Can this city guy handle all the crazy hardships? Find out in this wacky island comedy full of innocence and laughter!
