Blade and Soul episode 10
Oh god… I see a bad ending coming. I don’t mean bad as in “the bad guys” will win in the end. No, I’m talking about a poor, predictable ending. See? Game-adapted anime often lack a good story, although this one started out pretty good.
You know, I hate to see Aruka like this. I really do. She’s actually become so weak and emotional that she cannot even protect herself from a couple of hungry wolves. I mean, she nearly got killed when she tried to escape from some unknown attackers. How low does that character have to sink before the story picks up again? She’s incredibly useless right now.
The worst part is her mental state. It’s like she wasn’t aware of the fact that she has killed people at all. She’s killed many dozens if not hundreds of people. Why is she so disoriented after discovering that she killed that blonde b*tch’s husband? It was her job and the guy wasn’t a sweetheart to begin with. Why now? It just doesn’t make sense…
It got even worse when it turns out that Jin, the one that killed Aruka’s master, isn’t actually dead. At least not yet. Aruka stabbed her through the heart and we were led to believe that she was killed, but now it seems like she’s still alive. It seems that getting stabbed by Aruka was part of her plan to probably become stronger somehow. The strangest thing is that I don’t actually mind. She might be the key to Aruka’s recovery. I don’t know is this episode has set Aruka back on the path of total carnage, but I know that Jin might be able to help her with that.
