Chaos Dragon: Sekiryuu Seneki
I think this may have missed its mark, no? I honestly expected a little bit more. It looks like something that starts out pretty good, even though the start, in my opinion, was “mkay” at best, but finishes rather poorly due to all sorts of reasons (predictability, uninteresting developments, etc.)
Fine, the artwork looked alright. The characters look good and the level of detail is definitely there. I also liked the music. But there were one of two things that I recognized, which is not good, and I believe certain scenes were just plain.
The story is my biggest concern though. I know for a fact that I’ve seen or read something similar to this before. It’s extremely similar, which makes me doubt the originality of this story. I just don’t know if they will be able to keep things interesting for twelve whole episodes.
I cannot recommend it when I don’t even know if it’s any good. Honestly, it give it fifty/fifty. It either turns out alright or my suspicious will come true and it’ll turn out to be one of those disappointing shows that make you wish you never started watching in the first place.
Plot Summary: In the sparkling era year 3015, the great nations Donatia and Kouran divided the world in a cold war as they fight for supremacy. In the middle of this standoff is island country Nil Kamui, which has lost its independence.
