Disappointment thy name is Diabolik Lovers. I expected so much more from a show with vampires. It’s like the Japanese tried to copy Vampire Diaries, an American show about vampires for women and gay guys.
The artwork is okay. I would’ve changed their eyes immediately. I really think that they messed up on that. It just doesn’t match the rest of the artwork. Also, I wouldn’t have minded if it was a little bit ‘darker’ since vampires are involved.
The story… I don’t care for it. I don’t get it all. A bunch of vampires that keep a girl close to suck her blood. They insult her, call her ridiculous names and try so hard to look badass. It’s not sadistic at all… It’s just plain sad.
I cannot recommend this to anyone. I got bored after the second episode and barely managed to work my way through the third episode before I finally decided to drop it. I might print the DVD cover out later so I have something to wipe my ass with.
