Okay, Durarara is a hit. It is so successful that it got a second season (this one), a third season, which will start immediately after this one finishes in July, and a fourth season one year from now. I guess they struck oil with this one.
Who can blame them? The artwork looks great. The characters look good, the sceneries are great and the level of detail is pretty impressive. Even a newbie could tell that big-time studios are working on this project and that this is by no means a low budget production.
That’s right, the artwork is great, but it’s the story that makes you keep watching. It’s quite interesting and filled with action. Who doesn’t like that? I don’t know why, but some scenes from season one actually reminded me of the Monogatarie series.
I do fully recommend this. It is a very interesting watch and it is great to look at. And the good news is that there will be a lot more Durarara episodes coming, so eat watch your hearts out!
