Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya

No. Just a plain and simple no is all I can give this show. Keep in mind that it hasn’t been that long ago since I’ve finished watching the second season of Fate/Zero, yet they’re dishing out a ridiculous spin-off that revolves around comedy. No!

Fate kaleid liner Prisma IllyaThe artwork isn’t the problem here. The characters look cute, the backgrounds look good and I’m sure that they’re going to give us a whole lot of fan service in the unforeseeable future.

No, it’s the story that’s messed up here. You cannot dish out a Fate spin-off that revolves around comedy. Fate is best when there’s a lot of action and drama, that’s what it’s all about. Now I’m supposed to watch a spin-off that focussed on one of the loli characters?

Real fate fans will probably watch this anyway. I know of a lot of people that love Illyasviel and would love nothing more than to see a dozen of episodes with her as the star. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this as it destroys the images of Fate Stay/Night and Fate/Zero.

Plot Summary: Spin-off of Fate/stay night with Illyasviel von Einzbern as the protagonist, living an alternate life as a school girl.
