Fate/Zero episode 07

Man, these have been a busy few days. First I finished the new theme, and then my previous host started acting up, causing the site to time out every few seconds. I just hope that things will go a lot smoother from now on, especially since I changed hosts. I don’t like it when the site is offline, slow or inaccessible. You all deserve better!

Anyway, meanwhile it’s about to get very ugly in Fate/Zero as several battles are about to break loose. Kiritsugu may have set a lot of traps inside and around the Einzbern mansion, but it just wasn’t enough to get rid of Kayneth, a full-fledged mage. Kayneth wishes to kill two birds with one stone as he uses his servant to attack Caster together with Saber, while he himself goes after Saber’s master. Little did he know that he would have to face Kiritsugu in order to get to Irisviel. The question we all have to ask is; whether Kritisugu, who uses weapons because his magical knowledge is limited, is capable of defeating Kayneth, someone who, although self-proclaimed, is a master of magic.

Meanwhile Saber and Lancer will have to take on Caster and his fiendish little demon followers.  I personally wouldn’t go about calling those things demons though, they look more like mutated plants. The only reason why Caster seems so strong, hell, the only reason why Caster poses any threat at all is because of his Noble Phantasm. If they can somehow separate Caster from that book then the fight is pretty much over, as it’s the source of his power.  What worries me most is the whereabouts of his master, what is he up to? I know he’s not the best master to have, but surely he must be capable of something if he was able to summon Caster?

Like I said; it’s about to get ugly. I have a lot of faith in Kiritsugu. His magical arsenal may not be as impressive as Kayneth’s, but he has a lot of experience when it comes to defeating mages. As for the battle between Saber, Lancer and Caster… Well, I don’t think Caster has much of a chance. He used up a lot of mana during his one on one with Saber, and his master is nowhere to be found, how big a threat could he possibly pose at this point? We’ll have to wait for next week to find out, I for one can’t wait!
