Fate/Zero episode 13

Okay, I’m a little bit tipsy so I’m sorry if I make any shameful mistakes. If you see something that doesn’t belong; please report it. I know it’s late, but meh, I just wanted to see the final Fate/Zero episode of this season, sue me.

The episode starts and I’m already getting pissed off, and I was just 2 minutes in. Ryuunosuke and Caster really get to me, I have no idea why. I get agitated and moody when I see those two. Those two are distrusting, they talk about god like he’s a monster who loves death. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a believer, I’m just saying its wrong, that’s all.

It’s not all bad though. I have gained a lot more respect for Waver and Rider. Waver may be an inexperienced coward, but he does get that job done. Rider may have a very big mouth and ego, but unlike Kanye West, he does put his money where his mouth is, so that’s admirable. Waver may be weak in strength, but he makes up for it in dedication and knowledge. Waver is always on the lookout for more information, items and tips that help him get the edge in this war.

It’s too bad that Waver doubts his abilities. He is so insecure that it might cost him his life if he doesn’t watch out. He is very lucky to have Rider as his servant, I doubt that any other servant would have been that easygoing.

Meanwhile Caster is working on something down by the river. It had to be something very powerful, as it drew the attention of other servants in the area. I have no idea what it was, but it looked like something you would get if you crossbred a mutated plant and squid.

It seems that Caster’s overconfidence is about to be his downfall. Several servants have gathered in order to take him down. The servants decided to team up against that monster, wanting to kill him no matter what.

This is one hell of a cliffhanger here. My god, I can’t wait till April. I’m going to have to keep my fingers crossed here till April, hoping that Caster and Ryuunosuke finally get what they deserve.  I do stand firm behind my previous statement though; I find it kind of bad that all servants are still in the game, does it really take a whole season to build up to that? I just hope that they won’t rush it.

  1. This is not a true finale of one season, it’s only the last episode before the break. ufotable announced after the first episode aired that they are taking a 3 months airing-break to keep the quality and that’s how people should this episode now – just another episode of the season, no true cliffhanger intended. Fate/Zero is only one season long and honestly, I’m glad the adaption is faithful to the novel.

You should just relax, wait patiently and enjoy the second half. Unlike FSN, the viewer gets information about all Masters in only one “route”, while in FSN there were 3 routes and everything was told from Shirou’s perspective. Urobutchi wanted to build up all the Masters and Servants(except for Assassin). Now that this is mostly done(especially Kiritsugu is missing at the moment), he can finally kill them off and since only 4 directly involved people (obviously don’t count in Rin or Sakura) survived the war, all the others will die like flies in the second half.
