Gin no Saji 2 episode 04

Nooo~! Why, God? Why did this have to happen? Gin no Saji has quite a few things going for itself. Uniqueness is definitely one of those things. Why is it that the author would add a character so dreadfully common that it borders on sociological cliché?

[HorribleSubs] Gin no Saji S2 - 04 [720p].mkv_snapshot_01.38_[2014.02.01_23.20.21]The author apparently, in all his wisdom, decided to add a rich blonde with one of those voices that makes your testicles shoot straight up your throat. It’s been done a lot and I honestly don’t see any value other than making Aki-chan seem just a little bit better. She, Ayame, thinks that she can buy her way into things by getting the best of the best, thinking that that’s most of the work. In the meantime she calls herself Aki’s rival and thinks that she is in every way Aki’s superior. Her laugh alone was enough to annoy me. The fact that it’s one of those ‘famous’ rich lady laughs makes it even worse.

I feel as though Yugo has matured a bit. Just a little bit. He was still too damn focussed on what other people would think of him if he were to fail. Why bother? People will form their own opinions anyway. There’s really nothing he can do about that. People should just do whatever it is that makes them happy.

I want to see Yugo and Aki get together already. I’ve been waiting for that for a long time. However, I also wouldn’t mind if Yugo’s parents came to visit him during one of these episodes. I think that would prove to be quite the interesting episode. I wonder what his parents would think of Aki-chan, a modest young lady that comes from a somewhat poor, but hardworking family. That’s definitely something that I would like to see.
