Gin no Saji 2 episode 09
Excellent turn of events! Gin no Saji needs a third season. There’s no doubt in my mind that it needs a third season. Twenty-two episodes simply aren’t enough. Waiting for the next episode without reading the manga first is going to be a real challenge.
I’m amazed that Yugo finally spoke up. He finally stood his ground and gave being a man a shot for once. He confronted Aki-chan and told her that he wants to be part of her life and that she can tell him anything, after which Aki basically just fell apart and told him everything that he wanted to know. I swear that the sound of wedding bells inside my head drowned out everything else for a couple of minutes. I could see it so clearly… Yugo is definitely going to end up with Aki, even though we might not get to see that (any time soon). I’m sure that there are many viewers (if not everyone) that would agree.
I think the real-life drama is one of Gin no Saji’s strongest points. They really cover all of it; the good and the bad. Killing animals is no big deal to them, turning them into things that everyone eats regularly is no big deal to them, showing us how families and businesses fall apart is no big deal to them… How awesome is that!?
Yugo is in a great position. He has Aki’s confidence and he’s standing by her side as she’s about to confront her family. Her family likes Yugo and Aki likes Yugo… That guy is golden! He just has to find a way to impress her father without giving him the idea that he’s just there to defile his daughter. The next episode is going to be good.
