God Eater episode 08
I suppose this was a good episode. Rather, I feel that this may have been a real eye-opener and I hope it continues. I would always choose a rebellious character over a character that always follows order like a good puppy.
I’m talking about Lenka of course. I mean, the guy hauled ass on his last mission and saved that Russian girl, a fellow new-type, so I would’ve thought that they would show him some more respect after all that. Not many could’ve returned alive after all that, even if he did have his captain by his side for half of the journey. What bothers me is that his commanding officer, that busty major, still refuses to acknowledge him. I mean, he just saved two teams from getting killed during a search and destroy mission and I still don’t think that she acknowledges him. She’s just way too stubborn.
Not that we don’t have bigger things to worry about. At least Lenka does. He doesn’t have time to worry about not getting the amount of respect that he deserves because he just learned that he could very well be dying soon because he’s too compatible to wield his God Arc. I never knew that someone could be too compatible for something. I certainly never knew that being too compatible, which could also be seen as being too good, could kill you (other than making other people jealous and them killing you out of jealousy). I’m pretty sure we’ll get to know more about that during the next episode. There’s probably a way for him to survive, seeing as he’s the show’s top character. Those tend to stick around.
