Hajime no Ippo: Rising episode 23
I may not have a lot to say about this week’s episode either, but I really did enjoy it. We know all about Mamoru, Ippo and the rest of the fighters that training at the gym every day. It’s really about time that we learned a bit more about the old man.
I know this may sound rather strange, but I really liked the sight of the “olden days”. I know it was a time of war for them where people were looking down on each other, and that food and money were scarce. I still cannot help but admire the men and women that fought back against those tyrants. Let’s face it; everyone loves an underdog.
It’s quite obvious why the coach likes Ippo and Mamoru so much. They are both close-range fighters that prefer to win their match by in-fighting till one of the fighters wins by knock out. The coach was pretty much the same way, wasn’t he? So much for Brains, brawn and balls. It’s basically just brawn and balls in his case. Still, I’m looking forward to the next episode.
