Hajime no Ippo: Rising
Unbelievable. Almost five years later and the third season finally shows itself. Hajime no Ippo is pure gold. It’s a money-making series, so why wait almost five years? I have been waiting a very long time for this.
Hajime no Ippo is pretty well-known for it’s amazing artwork. It’s very nice and very detailed. To think that the first episode would start out with a couple of scenes from Ippo’s childhood, a time where his father was still with him. Absolutely wonderful!
Let’s face it; what kind of person wouldn’t enjoy a story about a kind boy that worked his way up to become a champion boxer? He was picked on, laughed at and constantly underestimated. Now look at him. It’s very heart-warming and very encouraging… It’s Hajime no Ippo!
Don’t you dare to pass this one up. Make sure you’ve seen the previous seasons and OVA. Hell, watch them again. This show absolutely deserves it. It’s in my top three favourite anime of all time for god’s sake.
Plot Summary: Ippo Makunouchi continues his boxing career and his goal on knowing the meaning of being strong, and the desire on fighting his idol Ichiro Miyata once again. Along him are pro boxers Takamura, Aoki and Kimura that each one of them aspire to their own dreams.
