Hataraku Maou-sama! episode 09
Oh… Well, uhm… Nice? It was a nice episode, wasn’t it? I’m actually asking because I have no idea what to say about it. I saw a few promising things, but I’m kind of lost here. What can we expect from now on? I have no idea…
This particular episode finally puts Rika a bit in the spotlight. She has tagged along with Emi to discuss Sadao’s activities and past, I think? I have no idea what the point was of having Suzuno there, but that’s alright. You just have to look beyond the bullsh*t and open up your eyes widely, then you’ll see a spark between Rika and Shirou. I’m kind of happy about that, because things have become a bit one-sides with all the girls falling for Sadao all the time. It’ll be interesting to see if anything will ever happen between Shirou, a demon that hates humans more than anything, and Rika, a human. Doesn’t that sound interesting?
I must say that this week’s episode was a bit dull. It was funny last time because it was something new, but I really can’t see myself watching much more of this fast-food competition between Sadao and that blue-haired shrimp, Mitsuki, who’s probably from Ente Isla as well, just like Suzuno. That’s the only logical explanation.
Mitsuki is the only one that fits the profile of Emi’s attacker. Not only is it obvious because they focus too much on an otherwise unknown and unimportant character, but it’s obvious because he just doesn’t fit in. I watched that scene three times and that guy seriously just doesn’t fit in. That, to me, means that he’s from Ente Isla (probably from Emi’s side of the fence as well).
