Hataraku Maou-sama!

Japan, why didn’t you just put “Made in Japan” right at the beginning of this show? It gives innocent people the opportunity to prepare themselves mentally, because everyone knows that there’s a lot of weird stuff coming. Not that I mind in this case, of course.

Hataraku Maou-sama!The artwork didn’t really impress me. The characters look very dull and have no unique features. I wouldn’t be able to pick any one of them out of a ten character line-up, probably. I did like that strange demonic language at the beginning though, I definitely got caught up in the moment during that time.

But yeah, it’s definitely the story that we need to keep in mind here. It’s interesting and fairly unique. Well, maybe not that unique, but it’s still pretty interesting. Demon lord and his right-hand man barely escape death, only to find out that the story’s hero has followed them to this strange world. It’s pretty obvious that the demon lord and the hero are going to end up together.

Do I recommend it? Yeah, sure. It’s pretty funny and I have a feeling that it’ll be an interesting romance. We all have a rough sketch of what’s going to happen during these next few weeks, but that won’t stop me from watching this (for now).

Plot Summary: Devil King Sadao is only one step away from conquering the world when he is beaten by Hero Emilia and forced to drift to the other world: modern-day Tokyo. As “conquering the world” are the only skills the Devil King possesses—and are obviously unnecessary in his new situation—he must work as a freeter to pay for his living expenses!
