Jormungand episode 12
What a huge relief! I was so glad when I saw that Ugo survived the attack. I knew I didn’t have to worry. Killing a bad ass like him wouldn’t be so easy. That brings me to the following question; can we really count this as a season finale? I’m not too sure. Yeah, I’m more than satisfied with the episode in general, but it doesn’t really want to make me watch the next season. Mind you, I definitely will.
The final episode of this season started as Ugo tried to avoid getting his head chopped off. It’s a good thing that Lehm regained consciousness, because Ugo would’ve definitely been dead if it weren’t for Lehm. I knew that it would take more than just a simple blow to the head to take that guy out for long. It was enough for Ugo to retaliate, escape that unfortunate position and beat that guy through the wall. Absolutely epic.
That brings me to the following question; how? How can it be that Koko’s team took out those three mercenaries so easily after that? I expected a huge struggle for survival to be honest. Lehm defeated that big guy, Koko managed to defeat that girl by opening a door and Ugo managed to outdrive “boss Dominique”. I’m not saying it’s bad, not at all. I just think that it shouldn’t have been that simple, that’s all.
This all brings me to the battle between Sofia and the guy she’s trying to get revenge on. She actually drugged Jonah to make him sleep through it, but it’s good that she woke up quickly, as she needed him to take out the sniper that was shooting at her. I wouldn’t say that it was easy for her to kill that guy, but I will say that I wanted to see just how she did it, you know? But still, getting shot in the back to save your precious comrade is pretty noble, no matter how sick and twisted you are. That goes to show that even Sofia has a heart that doesn’t just beat for Koko’s sake.
Finally I would like to end this post by saying that I really enjoyed Jormungand and that I will be waiting to watch the second season as well. Great job on this one!
