Joshiraku gets anime!

Joshiraku gets anime!

The February issue of Kodansha‘s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine is announcing on Monday that an anime adaptation of Kôji Kumeta and Yasu‘s Joshiraku manga has been green-lit. The story follows the behind-the-scenes dressing-room conversations of a group of female rakugo (Japanese verbal show) performers.

Kôji Kumeta is best known for Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei, while Yasu illustrated the Toradora! light novels. They launched the manga in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009, and the third compiled book volume shipped last October.
