K: Return of Kings
And here it is again! The anime whose name is probably the shortest ever; K! The first season took my completely by surprise. I loved watching it and I’m sure I’m going to love the second season just as much.
The first episode really packed a real punch. A lot of awesome action and I simply love how they’ve done it. It’s like watching an awesome movie. Very high quality stuff. The level of detail is simply superb. Besides, watching that busty blonde makes it all worthwhile even if the artwork wasn’t as good as this.
The first season had a pretty solid story. Very hard to predict and full of interesting twists and drama. I am very hopeful that this season is going to be even better with the Blue King now running out of time as well.
I absolutely do recommend this. I am quite find of shows where the characters have supernatural powers. If those shows happen to have artwork as good as this one and a story to match then I’m pretty much sold from start to finish.
Plot Summary: In modern Japan there are seven “Kings” who share power with their fellow clansmen. The Blue King Reishi Munakata, the leader of the Blue Clan “Scepter 4,” held great responsibilities on his back. The tower that Gold King Daikaku Kokujōji supervised called the “Dresden Slate” was still on his mind, and he felt a great burden by killing the previous Red King, Mikoto Suoh. On the other hand, the former Red Clan “HOMRA” clansman Anna Kushina experienced the attacks from the Green Clan “Jungle” and awakened as the next Red King. By doing this, she bound her comrades through a strong bond once again. Finally, White Clan members Neko and Kuroh believe that the White King Yashiro is still alive, and seek his whereabouts. However, it was not just them searching for the White King. With “Jungle” once again jumping back into action, the fates of the various Kings are brought together.
