Karneval episode 10
Oh boy, it’s becoming quite obvious that even the fansubbers are getting tired of karneval. It’s just not a high priority anymore. I, too, think that it’s been slowly downhill ever since the second episode. I probably wouldn’t even care so much if the ending turned out to be disappointing.
The only good thing about this episode is that Tsukumo survive, as we all knew she would. There is no way that they would’ve killed off one of the most popular characters on an otherwise declining show. I mean, even the ratings are slowly starting to drop on all the major anime websites. That just goes to show that people are losing interest.
I was hoping that Yogi’s condition would become a bit more complicated and interesting, but no… He’s completely returned to his old self. He’s jolly, sarcastic and always puts up an act to make it look as though everything’s alright. I really hate characters that make themselves seem unnecessarily weaker than they really are.
Karneval has lost its magic, period. It’s supposed to be an action/fantasy show, but now it’s leaning more towards comedy. I just watched an episode where Kiichi, a little girl with a huge mouth, started a fight with some kind of mutated goat. That’s right, but it didn’t end there, the goat was mad as hell, had rabbit teeth and was capable of flying thanks to its wings. I’m sorry, but I cannot take the show seriously when I see something like that. The comedy in this show is getting out of hand, it’s taking over. There’s a real need for more action, more mystery and a lot more answers to our questions.
