Karneval episode 11
Amazing! Karneval actually came on time this week. I wish I could describe the episode in general in the same way. Unfortunately, I cannot. The story is completely messed up and it doesn’t do the manga justice.
I am getting really tired watching the same thing over and over again. There are always characters in Karneval that need help, and it’s always Nai’s group that encounters them. Nai, being the good red-eyed rat that he is, will always help out these characters, even it means postponing his own quest of finding Karoku.
Imagine my surprise when that kid showed up, demanding that they helped him find some hard-to-find pasta restaurant. Was I seriously supposed to enjoy that? It’s almost like I just watched a filler. There are two episodes left, Karoku isn’t even in sight yet, but they think it’s alright to focus on some kid that ran away from home? What the…
The only good thing that came from all of this, if any, is that they’re finally going after Karoku. Following this story has been like walking in a big, complicated maze. There was always something that got in the way of progress, so, now that they know where he is, they’re finally starting up a search and rescue mission. I can only hope at this point that it won’t be too predictable, that Karoku doesn’t turn out to be a bad guy that’s luring Nai and his friends into a trap, and that he was after Nai all this time. That would be the worst possible ending.
