Karneval episode 13

So this season finally ended? Good. I really hate to say this but I was getting really tired of writing about it. The story was going back and forth so much that it became difficult to follow. I don’t like to see that in a show.

[Anime-Koi] Karneval - 13 END [h264-720p][2B54E250].mkv_snapshot_01.01_[2013.07.02_23.25.08]So this is a season finale, right? You’d expect to see some drama and a lot of action, right? Well, there was a little bit of drama and quite a bit of action, but why do I feel so uneasy? Is it because Nai, one of the main characters that the story revolves around, has done absolutely nothing during these past thirteen episodes? That hasn’t gone unnoticed. Looking for Karoku was his quest, yet he had other people fighting his battles. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Nai fight. Hell, I don’t even think I’ve ever seen him defend himself (let alone his friends). I think that’s one of the biggest things that I dislike about Karneval.

[Anime-Koi] Karneval - 13 END [h264-720p][2B54E250].mkv_snapshot_11.19_[2013.07.02_23.25.32]But oh well, it’s over now. Gareki somewhat held his own for a while, Circus won the battle yet again, evil survived and is bound to return in the future, and, if all that isn’t “exciting” enough for you, they finally found (a near-dead) Karoku. After thirteen weeks (of which ten were a struggle) we finally see Nai and Karoku reunited.

People; bust out your blow horns, put on same evil classical music and raise your middle fingers as we say goodbye to season one. We have been waiting thirteen weeks for this, yet Karoku wasn’t even conscious in the end. Nothing god solved, no questions were answered and the episode ended with both a crappy cliff-hanger and an even crappier preview of season two. Well done, Japan.
