Kill Me Baby

Geez, I was actually looking forward to this one. I was pretty excited when I first read about this anime, but I was very disappointed when I just watched the first episode. There were a few minutes left, but I still clicked the episode away.

The artwork is so-so, nothing special. It’s your typical Gag anime, where the looks aren’t as important as the jokes.

As for the story goes, well, it’s strange as hell. When I read that it was about an assassin school girl, that it would be funny and that it mostly relies on slapstick humor, well… I was pretty excited. Boy what a let-down. I cannot begin to explain how dry the humor is. I was expecting to see something hilarious, but I barely laughed.

Also, I don’t think the voice of Sonya, the school’s blonde assassin, matches with the character, but that’s just me.

Anyway, I wouldn’t recommend this anime to many people. I know very few people that enjoy this type of humor, so it’s a no-go for me.

Plot Summary: Sonya is an assassin attending a normal school. Yasuna is an airhead who follows Sonya around, unaware of how dangerous she is. This adaptation of a 4-panel comic focuses on the adorable ultra-violence that erupts when they try to get along.
